HCLF EDII Sattva Project Entrepreneurship development Institute of India joined hands with HCL Foundation to support urban poor Women through SATTVA Project

Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India(EDII) has been the pioneer in creating income and employment in the last mile through entrepreneurship development. The world has agreed upon the fact that micro entrepreneurship is the key to development and poverty alleviation in developing countries. EDII is joining hands with HCL Foundation to take the idea of entrepreneurship Development to urba

n poor women through Women Skillprenuership Development Programme (WSDP) through Project SATTVA. This is an initiative to open up new opportunities for urban poor women to have independent source of income leading to their self-reliance and empowerment.

‘Skillprenuership’- a concept and term developed by EDII is a blend of skilling and entrepreneurship. Participants are trained in one particular skill which has scope of being developed as an enterprise locally. This ensures that a sustainable source of income is created for the participants in their own locality which has a better chance of improving local economy and lives. WSDP will equip the urban poor women to be the change makers for the society by bringing out the latent potential of entrepreneurship in them.
