Glimpse of Bangalore Bizu 2026

On the auspicious occasion of Bizu, On 13th April2026 in the morning session 9:30 Am Onwards at Maha Bodhi Society, we begin our celebrations with deep reverence and devotion. Our traditional observances include Buddha Puja, Attaparikkara Dana, meditation and Dhamma discourse (Dhamma Bani). As part of our cherished Chakma heritage, we continue the age-old practices of offering flowers to monks, washing their feet as a mark of respect and seeking blessings from our elders.

In celebration of Bizu, we offers Siyong Dana and prepare a variety of traditional delicacies such as Sanye Pide, Hoga Pide, Bini Pide, Bora Pide and many more.

The afternoon session will be followed by a vibrant cultural programme at Viveka Auditorium, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.

This event is proudly organized by the Bangalore Chakma Students Association (BCSA) with the support of the Bangalore Chakma Community, and sponsored by Maven Kitchen and Meiko.

During the event, he also shared a few thoughtful words about the Chakma community, reflecting mutual respect and cultural appreciation. His participation and message beautifully symbolized unity, harmony and brotherhood between communities.

This gesture by our Nyishi brother stands as a meaningful reminder of the strength found in diversity and togetherness.

Through our attire, we expressed not just elegance and style, but the richness of our heritage and the deep-rooted values we carry with us wherever we go.

This moment was more than just a showcase it was a powerful reflection of who we are as a community. Our traditional attire represents generations of cultural legacy, craftsmanship and pride. Walking the stage in these garments allowed us to honor our roots while sharing the beauty of our traditions with a wider audience.

Bangalore Bizu 2026 provided a meaningful platform to highlight and celebrate our vibrant cultural heritage, reminding us all that no matter where life takes us, our traditions remain an integral part of our identity.
