Learning. Sharing. Connecting. Growing together.

Our Hosting Partners Workshop at CEL on 30.08.2026, Kundapura brought together partners for an insightful day focused on supporting international volunteers and strengthening our collaboration.

A special thanks to Mr. Amar Kumar from the FRRO for sharing valuable guidance on immigration procedures, Form “C” and residential permits.

We also explored the weltwärts program, exchanged inputs experiences and discussed solutions to the challenges that come with hosting volunteers.

Together, we make international volunteering stronger! 🤝🌱

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Devadas Ragland, who served as our esteemed Deputy Director at FSL India. Ragland passed away peacefully on 6’th September 2026.

Ragland was a cornerstone of our leadership team, dedicating More than 12 years of exceptional service, vision, and guidance to FSL India family. Throughout his career, Ragland was widely respected for his loving nature, humbleness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to our mission. Beyond his executive achievements, Ragland was a mentor, a leader, and a cherished colleague to everyone who had the privilege of working alongside him.
The entire FSL India family extends our deepest condolences to Ragland’s family, friends, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.

Leadership is something we experience, practise and grow into. 🌱

Through FSL India’s Situational Leadership Workshop at MITK, students explored leadership through challenges, teamwork, reflection and, most importantly, learning by doing.

You don’t need to be a leader to demonstrate leadership. ✨

Some of the most meaningful parts of volunteering don't happen in a project, they happen at home 🏡

For the past two years, Mrs. Rashmi's family in Mysore has welcomed volunteers from Germany into their daily lives. Through shared meals, celebrations, laughter, and conversations, they've helped create an experience that goes far beyond cultural exchange.

Thank you for reminding us that family isn't always defined by where you're from, but by the connections you build along the way. 💛

11 months, countless memories, and lessons that will last a lifetime. 🌏✨

On 8–9 July, our 2025–2026 AFS & IJGD volunteers gathered at FSL India's Centre for Experiential Living (CEL) for their Final Evaluation. Together, they reflected on the challenges they overcame, the friendships they built, and the experiences that shaped their journey in India.

Thank you for your dedication, curiosity, and the positive impact you've made. Wishing you all the best for what comes next! 💚
