A wonderful continuation of our learning program today with the children.

We were also happy to have Amiish, a student who visited us and expressed her willingness to continue volunteering with the kids. It is always encouraging to see young minds stepping forward to support community learning and development.

Looking forward to more such meaningful engagements and building a stronger learning environment together.

Grateful to everyone who continues to support and encourage these initiative.

We had a wonderful visit from Tata ProEngage volunteers Shiv Kumar and Shaheen at our Literacy Center.
They interacted with the children, understood their academic progress, and spoke about their well-being. The children enjoyed the interaction and were very excited to share their learning.
As part of the program, they will also help us conduct engaging activities for the students at the center.
Thank you Sandini for your support and encouragement to our young learners!

🌱 Empowering Young Minds Through Purposeful Volunteering

We are delighted to share that Urjavya Foundation has partnered for volunteer engagement with the Tata Group through the Tata ProEngage program.
This year, our focus is to support the students of Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya — empowering young girls through structured academic and developmental support.
As a first step, the Tata volunteers recently visited the school to:
Interact with students and faculty
Understand learning gaps and developmental needs
Identify areas where structured volunteering can create measurable impact
Based on these insights, a focused volunteering roadmap will now be designed to ensure meaningful and sustained engagement.
We sincerely thank the Tata team led by Pradeep, Tushar, and Sagar for their commitment, empathy, and proactive involvement.
Together, we move closer to building confident, educated, and empowered young leaders of tomorrow.

A mother’s journey continues—
and so does our commitment to walk beside her.

Last week, we once again organized a Health Camp for Expecting Mothers, reaffirming our promise to care for those who are nurturing tomorrow’s lives today. Through essential health checkups, compassionate medical guidance, and the distribution of thoughtfully prepared nutrition kits, we aimed to support not just physical well-being, but also confidence, dignity, and hope.

With the continued support of Rotary Club Of Jamshedpur Dalma, we reached out to mothers who deserve reassurance that they are not alone on this journey.
Because when we care for an expecting mother,
we protect two hearts,
strengthen two futures,
and nurture a life yet to bloom.

When girls uplift girls, communities rise.

We recently had the privilege of visiting Kasturba Girls High School, where our guest Ms. Ananya from Georgia Institute of Technology, USA interacted with the students.
It was a deeply engaging and interactive session where she shared her life experiences and emphasized how supporting, encouraging, and standing up for one another plays a powerful role in every girl’s journey.
Moments like these remind us why creating safe spaces for learning, sharing, and sisterhood truly matters.

Shaped by Earth. Strengthened by Resilience.

As part of our field trip, we spent a day with a potter family whose hands still shape stories out of clay — stories of sustainability, tradition, and quiet perseverance.
Their products are not just beautiful; they are rooted in generations of knowledge, made with respect for nature and time. Yet, as lifestyles change and automation takes over, their traditional livelihood stands at a fragile crossroads.
We sat with them, listened to their journey, and understood the weight of their struggles. What stayed with us most was their spirit — despite the odds, they continue to fight for survival with dignity and hope.
Our guests eagerly stepped into their world, learning the craft, trying the wheel, and discovering how much patience, skill, and love goes into every piece. The moments were candid, warm, and deeply human.
We saw children learning the craft from a young age — tiny hands carrying forward a legacy that refuses to fade.
As a small token of respect and gratitude, we offered blankets to the elders of the family — not as charity, but as care.
This visit reaffirmed our commitment: To stand with grassroots entrepreneurs. To protect traditional livelihoods. To ensure that such stories do not disappear in silence.
Because development should never erase roots — it should strengthen them.

Strengthening Livelihoods. Empowering Communities.

We recently visited ICAR RCER Palandu, where we had a meaningful interaction with Dr Reena Kumari Kamal, Scientist from the Livestock & Animal Husbandry domain.
During the visit, we shared our grassroots work focused on livelihood development in tribal villages. Dr. Reena deeply appreciated the community-led approach and impact of our initiatives and took us through the Para-Vet training program, where participants are trained in basic livestock care and first aid.
This training opens doors to micro-entrepreneurship opportunities in: • Duck farming
• Goat farming
• Pig farming
• Dairy and allied activities
We are encouraged by Dr. Reena’s assurance of full support for tribal welfare and rural development, including: 1.Training selected villagers from our intervention areas as Para-Vets
2. Livestock distribution to support vulnerable and resource-poor families
Partnerships like these strengthen the ecosystem where knowledge, skills, and opportunity come together—enabling sustainable livelihoods and long-term resilience at the grassroots.
We look forward to translating this collaboration into real income, dignity, and self-reliance for tribal households.

Because sustainable development begins when communities are empowered with skills—not dependency.

Warmth Beyond Wool. Care Beyond Words.

During our follow-up field visit to the tribal village of Ranganati, we sat with mothers-to-be — women carrying not just new life, but also the weight of daily hardship, uncertainty, and resilience.
They spoke of their routines, their worries, their hopes — often quietly, often with strength that goes unnoticed.
This visit came after our nutrition kit distribution, to listen again, to check in, and to stand beside them — not as beneficiaries, but as partners in care.
As winter approaches, we offered blankets to each expecting mother —
not merely as relief from the cold, but as a gentle assurance that both mother and child are seen, valued, and cared for.
Because care is not a one-time act.
It is showing up. Again and again.

Forged by Fire. Sustained by Dignity.

As part of our field visit, we spent time with a traditional blacksmith family—keepers of a craft shaped by fire, patience, and generations of knowledge.
In an age dominated by automation and mass production, they continue to struggle for survival, adapting their skills while holding on to values of sustainability and environmental balance.
Their work reminds us that true sustainability is not new—it already exists in the hands of such artisans who repair, reuse, and create with minimal waste.
We listened to their life stories, understood their business challenges, and witnessed their resilience firsthand.
As a small gesture of respect and encouragement, we offered blankets—not as charity, but as a promise that they are not invisible.

We remain committed to walking alongside such micro-entrepreneurs at the bottom of the pyramid—because inclusive development must begin with those who keep our roots alive.

Rooted in Culture. Guided by Compassion.

As part of our field visit, our team traveled to Butgoda Village, where our visitors were welcomed in the most heartfelt way — with garlands and indigenous traditions deeply rooted in tribal culture.
It was not just a welcome; it was a reminder of the dignity, warmth, and resilience that define these communities.
We spent time interacting with women engaged in harvesting crops — witnessing firsthand the strength behind every grain of food that reaches our plates. Their work reflects perseverance shaped by the land and seasons.
Our visit also took us into homes of families from the Sabar community, where we listened to stories of everyday life, challenges, and aspirations. We discussed access to various government welfare schemes and understood the gaps that still need attention.
As a small gesture of respect and solidarity, we offered nutrition kits and blankets to the families — not as charity, but as a commitment to stand beside them on their journey.

This visit reaffirmed our belief:
Real development begins with listening, respecting culture, and walking together.

Our sincere gratitude to Ms. Bansuri Munda and Ms. Sonali for coordinating the traditional welcome that reflected the spirit and soul of the community.
