Teachings from Sadguru Gurudev Sadhu Shri Ji
“Become a child. If you remove Kāma (lust), Krodha (anger), Mada (ego/pride), Lobha (greed), Moha (attachment), and even Religion — a person becomes like a child.”
Explanation:
1. Become a Child:
A child symbolizes innocence, purity, openness, and spontaneity.
A child lives in the present moment, free from judgment, ambition, and prejudice.
To “become a child” means to return to that state of natural simplicity and purity of heart.
2. Kāma (Desire/Lust):
Desire binds the mind to the external world.
When freed from endless craving, the mind rests peacefully in itself.
3. Krodha (Anger):
Anger is a reaction born from unfulfilled desire or wounded ego.
When it dissolves, compassion and patience arise.
4. Mada (Pride/Ego):
Pride creates separation — “I” and “you.”
When humility replaces pride, one becomes childlike and egoless.
5. Lobha (Greed):
Greed blinds one to contentment.
Freedom from greed brings natural satisfaction and gratitude.
6. Moha (Attachment/Delusion):
Attachment clouds perception and causes suffering.
Detachment brings clarity and peace.
7. Religion (when misunderstood):
Gurudev’s mention of “removing religion” doesn’t mean rejecting spirituality — it points to going beyond labels, rituals, and divisions.
When one transcends dogma and experiences the essence of Truth directly, the heart becomes pure and universal — like that of a child.
Essence:
When all these impurities and identifications are dropped, the soul returns to its original, childlike nature — pure, loving, joyful, and close to the Divine.
