Loving Sairams from Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam!

Seva is often as much about being present as it is about giving.

As part of Sri Sathya Sai Prema Dayini, our Chennai volunteers undertook Narayana Seva through the Golden Butterflies Organisation, a trust that supports children undergoing cancer treatment at the Chennai Government Hospital and stands by their families through a difficult journey.

The seva reached families of young cancer patients, with essential provisions offered to each family. More than the provisions, it was the time spent together that made the experience special. Volunteers had the opportunity to meet the families, listen to their experiences, share conversations and simply be present.

The families received the volunteers with immense warmth, humility and gratitude. In their gracious acceptance was a quiet reminder of what seva truly means. We may come with the intention to give, but it is their love, humility and gracious acceptance that allow us to serve. And in that exchange, what begins as an offering becomes a shared experience of compassion, connection and love.

Loving Sairams from Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam!

Every Eye Has a Story to Tell. Some speak of years spent living with blurred vision. Others carry the hope of seeing a loved one's face more clearly, reading with ease once again, or simply going about daily life with renewed confidence. At the Sri Sathya Sai Vaidyalayam’s monthly eye camp, each of these stories is met with compassionate care inspired by Bhagawan's message of selfless love and service.

The latest eye camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with 170+ villagers benefiting from comprehensive eye screenings. Many were identified as requiring corrective spectacles, while others were advised further treatment, including cataract and other vision-restoring surgeries. Several post-operative patients also returned for routine follow-up examinations, reflecting the Foundation's commitment to ensuring continued care well beyond the day of treatment.

Beyond diagnosis and treatment, these regular eye camps have become a reassuring presence for the surrounding villages. With every visit, they make quality eye care more accessible, encourage early detection, and ensure that those in need receive timely treatment and continued follow-up, closer to home.

For the villagers who walk into these camps, the greatest outcome is often the simplest one: the ability to see life a little more clearly.

As part of the Guru Poornima celebrations, the Annual Report of the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation was released.

An annual report is often seen as a record of milestones, numbers, and achievements. But this report is much more than that. It is a humble offering at Bhagawan's Lotus Feet, chronicling six years of His boundless love expressed through selfless service carried out by the Foundation.

As the Board of Trustees reflect in their message in the Annual Report, every initiative of the Foundation has been inspired by a simple yet profound conviction: that true transformation begins when love is translated into action. Whether through nourishing a hungry child, restoring sight to a villager, empowering a woman with livelihood skills, or nurturing young minds through education, each chapter is a reminder that lasting impact is created not by numbers alone, but by lives touched with compassion.

Guru Poornima at Sri Sathya Sai Vaatsalyam was a day of devotion, gratitude, and celebration. It was also a moment to pause and reflect on six blessed years of the Sri Sathya Sai Premaarpitham Foundation, a journey shaped by Bhagawan's boundless love and countless acts of selfless service.

The celebrations began with the inauguration of Nayanamrutha Dhaara, a mobile eye hospital under the Sri Sathya Sai Kshema Dayini initiative. Dedicated to taking quality eye care and treatment directly to the doorsteps of rural communities, it marks another step in the Foundation's commitment to ensuring that compassionate healthcare reaches those who need it most.

As the day unfolded, the Foundation looked back on six years of service through its four flagship initiatives—Prema Dayini, Kshema Dayini, Gnyana Dayini, and Shubha Dayini—each reflecting the transformative power of Bhagawan's love in action. A special highlight was the unveiling of the Foundation's Annual Report and the latest digital edition of Divya Praabhavam (monthly newsletter of the Foundation), capturing this journey through inspiring stories of beneficiaries, volunteers, and well-wishers. The gathering was further enriched by inspiring addresses from Trustees Sri Krishnan Ramabadran and Sri Giri K.K., along with Sri Keshav Murthy, Head of Administration, and Sri Sai Jagadish, Coordinator of Initiatives.

As dusk settled over Vaatsalyam, the celebrations flowed seamlessly into Naada Samarpan, a captivating Carnatic vocal recital by Kumari S. Swarathmika, accompanied by Sri Ramsmaran Krishnakumar on the mridangam and Kumari Shreelakshmi S. Bhat on the violin. From the majesty of Shanmukhapriya to the lively charm of Nalinakanti and the soulful beauty of Kapi, each composition became a heartfelt offering at Bhagawan's Divine Lotus Feet, leaving the audience immersed in devotion and bliss.

The day's celebrations served as a gentle reminder that the truest offering to the Guru lies in living His teachings. With Bhagawan's infinite blessings, may His mission of love and selfless service continue through each one of us.

Guru Poornima is a beautiful reminder of the immeasurable blessing of having Bhagawan as our Guru. Every teaching He gives, every act of love He showers upon us, and every opportunity to serve that He blesses us with continues to shape our lives and guide us on the path of Truth, Righteousness, Peace, Love, and Non-violence.

May this Guru Poornima inspire us to walk a little closer to Him each day, to love a little more selflessly, serve a little more wholeheartedly, and live a little more like He has taught us. With His infinite grace, may we become the students our Beloved Bhagawan smiles upon with joy, making our lives a humble offering at His Divine Lotus Feet.
