Do you hold any idea or interest that you have not yet embarked on? That you have left for later and that later never comes by?

Mark Zuckerberg was 19 when he started Facebook. And Bill Gates got Microsoft off the ground when he was 23. High achievers in sports train from young to become a world #1.

Their well-known stories might seem to suggest that success comes to those who start early.

But the data on successful entrepreneurs says otherwise: The average age of business founders is around 40 years old, according to research by Pierre Azoulay, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Number of athletes in the senior category are only increasing. And manyare breaking the glass ceiling on what all one can do at older age.

Graceful persons ,Behave Maturely / Polite / Calm and show Kindness even at Hard or difficult times / periods, show concern for Others and their feelings, respect all Human beings, are positive and Energetic Persons, no Knee Jerk Attitude, can Lean on their Shoulders- Dependable / Seek able, Big Dreamers, Chasers and Focussed, Do Not get into arguments, Dignified Persons, Are Motivated.

Because of these Qualities and Traits, even if they are aged, it will not show in their age. They would look Bright and Appear Bold and Beautiful. Judging their age wouldbe difficult.

What on earth does aging gracefully mean? It is often associated with "looking" young no matter the number of candles you put out. Why? Social constructs have conditioned us to believe that is true. While admiring people who look great in their 60s-70s-80s is understandable. But associating only looks to ageing gracefully is not. It is an unnecessary pressure to focus on vanity all our lives. Ageing gracefully is instead, leading life with courage, bravery and vulnerability at any age. It is, choosing to make those decisions that you think will enable you to lead an active and healthy lifestyle through every decade of your adult life. What's in a decade? It is all about becoming who we want to be. And that can change and evolve with every passing year.

I love looking at striking things. I’m taken by beauty. I think humans are a form of performance art. I’ve always worn myself on the outside. People can recognize the kind of person I am by looking at me. I’ve always had some sense of self. When I think back to a certain age, I’ll remember wearing something that half my family hated, but I saw the romance in. These days I will go the closet and throw something on. The oddest, craziest, quirkiest, most wonderful thing I can think of—because it’s mood. It’s expression. It’s my subconscious, guiding me.

"Vanity doesn’t or shouldn’t vanish with age. By I say in a positive way. As per ur age dress up, wear that lipstick, perfume and step out. If that’s what you want. I consider it as part of healthand deportment. An anti depressant. is not necessarily for giving up life even before u r dead. It’s your ME TIME. YOU ARE ENTITLED TO IT. It’s part of ongoing self realisation, both physically and mentally. You still are living and learning new things everyday. You go only with your last breath. Till then live it up. As you want!"

Chitra Vasudev, Age 72 is a retired bank officer living in Bangalore

Growing up and as an adult, the only effort I put into my appearance was the matching glass bangles with every outfit I had. I never wore makeup, except a kohl pencil which I stopped using soon. I never thought about my skin or taking care of it with the plethora of products that flood the market. Even now, I go out with my friends and the idea of dressing up is to wear a beautiful saree with a story behind it. Usually, it is "My daughter brought this for me". I think about the things I would have missed if it wasn't for the on my face that prove I am here.

But there’s so much more that drives us, like empathy, ambition, compassion. Can we actively choose to let those guide us instead? In search of answers, we spoke a few about their outlooks on appearance, beauty, and aging. Each of their perspectives reminded us that the qualities of one’s personhood are not mutually exclusive, and they all make us who we are.These women share what does vanity mean to them and how has the meaning evolved with age.

There, I said it - you know that-that shouldn't be said out loud. Or at least that's the vibe I get. Once we join the rat race, we focus too much on life stones - only until retirement. Not what happens after retirement. Is that healthy? Pause... to think about it.
