Opening doors through education…

At the Sapna Shetty Memorial Trust, we are deeply committed to supporting the dreams of young minds who aspire to learn, grow, and make a difference.

Recently, we received a heartfelt request from the mother of a bright and determined student pursuing B.Com (Analytics) at St. Joseph’s College of Commerce. A single parent and a dedicated nursery teacher, she expressed her desire to see her daughter continue her education despite facing financial and health challenges.

Her daughter has shown remarkable academic consistency—scoring 98.24% in 10th grade, 95.33% in 2nd PUC, and securing an impressive 8.84 SGPA in her first semester of college.

Moved by their resilience and commitment to education, the Trust has extended partial financial assistance towards the academic fees for the upcoming year. While this support may cover only a portion of their need, we hope it lifts a part of their burden and brings them closer to their dreams.

We wish this young student continued success in her academic journey, and we stand in admiration of her mother’s strength and dedication.

This is why we exist—to carry forward Sapna Shetty’s spirit of kindness and empowerment by helping bright minds bloom. 🌼

Helping someone with their studies in any way possible was always Sapna’s priority. We recently received a request for funding the education of a daily wage worker's daughter in Doddaballapur. The daughter, Manasa, is a very bright and ambitious student and has bagged a merit seat in the 1st round of CET for Engineering in Electronics and Communication at RLJ Engineering College, Doddaballapur. The fee amounts to ₹28,220 for the current year and the last date for payment was Dec 2, 2022.

The parents are construction and farm workers with very limited means to fulfill their daughter's dreams. Sapna Trust is happy to share that, after due verification, we have decided to sponsor the education of this girl child for the current year (and in the coming years, if needed) from the Trust fund.

This is in sync with Sapna's efforts towards improving the education of girl children during her volunteering days and is one of the mottos of the Trust as well.

Turning pages through voices…
During Aug-Sep 2024, the Sapna Shetty Memorial Trust with the help of few volunteers successfully completed recording audio lessons for two Political Science textbooks in Kannada for visually impaired students of BA 3rd Semester.
These lessons are now being used in collaboration with Mitra Jyothi, HSR Layout.
The impact has been deeply moving. Students shared that these audio materials have made a real difference in how they absorb and retain complex topics. Their appreciation and heartfelt thanks have touched all of us.
This project reaffirms that accessibility in education isn’t a privilege—it’s a right. And we are committed to bridging those gaps, one chapter at a time. 💛
