What an incredible experience for our young athletes! 🏸✨

Our partner organisation’s children had the wonderful opportunity to attend the BWF World Championships, watch world-class badminton live, and even meet and greet some of their favourite players! 💙

From cheering in the stands to meeting the stars of the sport, it was a day filled with fun, excitement, inspiration, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to BWF for creating this incredible opportunity and making the experience so special for the children. 🙌

Experiences like these can inspire young minds, build confidence, and show them what’s possible. 🌟

More than a match. A memory for life. 🏸❤️

Advancing female athlete health in India, together.

and are collaborating to advance women’s health in sport within the Indian sporting ecosystem.

This collaboration brings together FASTR’s expertise in female athlete science and research with Simply Sport Foundation’s experience working with athletes and sporting systems across India.

Together, we will focus on three areas:

Developing Women’s Health Guidelines for Indian Sport
Creating evidence-based guidelines contextualised for national sports federations, training centres and residential academies in India.

Making female athlete health science more accessible
Co-creating educational sessions that translate research into practical knowledge relevant to the Indian sporting context.

Taking knowledge beyond English
Translating and contextualising selected FASTR educational resources into Hindi and Marathi, helping credible female athlete health information reach more athletes, coaches and practitioners.

At the heart of this collaboration is a shared ambition: to help bridge the gap between science and practice and contribute towards sporting environments that better understand and support the health of female athletes.

Because increasing women’s participation in sport is only part of the journey.

We also need to build sporting systems that enable female athletes to thrive.

What happens when women athletes are given the opportunity to think beyond competition?

On 2 August, we witnessed the answer.

After eight months of learning, mentorship, collaboration, and countless hours of research, the inaugural PIVOT Pitch Fest 2026 brought together four teams of women athletes who stepped onto a very different kind of stage—not as competitors, but as founders, problem-solvers, and future leaders.

Throughout the programme, our athletes challenged assumptions, explored real-world opportunities within the sports ecosystem, worked with mentors and industry experts, and transformed lived experiences into ventures with the potential to create meaningful impact.

Pitching in front of a distinguished panel of judges was no small feat. It required courage, preparation, teamwork, and the confidence to defend ideas they had spent months building. Watching them rise to the occasion was a powerful reminder that leadership can be developed, and that an athlete's greatest strength often extends far beyond the field of play.

A heartfelt thank you to Sharda Ugra, Nisha Millet, and Chanakya Gupta for generously sharing their time, expertise, and thoughtful feedback. Your questions challenged our athletes to think bigger, your encouragement gave them confidence, and your insights made this experience immeasurably richer.

While we're keeping the teams' ventures under wraps for now, we can't wait to celebrate them again at Bootcamp 3 and the PIVOT Graduation Ceremony, where the final rankings, scholarships, and project awards will be announced.

This was more than a Pitch Fest.

It was the beginning of a new chapter—from athlete to leader.

The stage is set. The ideas are ready. Now, it’s time to meet the minds behind the judging panel.

Three accomplished leaders. Three unique perspectives. One important task.

On August 2 at PIVOT Pitch Fest 2026, our judges will evaluate the bold ideas that athlete-led teams have spent the past six months developing.

Sharda Ugra

With over three decades of experience across print, television, digital media, and long-form journalism, Sharda has been at the forefront of conversations around gender, representation, governance, and athlete stories in Indian sport. Her deep understanding of storytelling, communication, and the evolving sports landscape makes her uniquely positioned to evaluate ideas that seek to create meaningful impact within the sporting ecosystem.

Nisha Millet

After representing India at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, Nisha went on to compete at the Asian Games, World Championships, SAF Games, and Afro-Asian Games, setting multiple national records along the way. Today, she continues to contribute to sport through coaching and athlete development, bringing invaluable insight into the realities of elite competition, athlete transitions, and life beyond sport.

Chanakya Gupta

Having held leadership roles at Flipkart, Curefit, and Cult Play, Chanakya brings extensive experience in business growth, partnerships, customer engagement, and scaling consumer-focused ventures. As Co-Founder of Tuco Kids, he offers a strong entrepreneurial perspective on evaluating business models, identifying growth opportunities, and transforming ideas into sustainable ventures.

Meet the leaders who will help identify the ideas with the potential to shape the future of sport.

Introducing the Powerpuff Girls who complete the line-up for PIVOT Pitch Fest 2026.

Across the country, countless girls discover a love for sport. But finding spaces designed to nurture, support, and develop their sporting ambitions is often easier said than done.

Powerpuff Girls have been investigating a gap at the heart of athlete development: how can more girls access environments where they feel encouraged to learn, compete, and thrive? Through research, mentorship, and collaboration, the team has been reimagining what stronger, more inclusive pathways in sport could look like.

Because talent can only thrive when it’s given the right environment to grow.

So, what does their vision for the future of sport look like?

The answers arrive on August 2nd at PIVOT Pitch Fest 2026, when the Powerpuff Girls take the stage to present the impactful idea they’ve been developing.

On 19 July, we conducted a Menstruation and Sport session for coaches from BAI Raipur and BAI Guwahati as part of the grassroots development programme.

The session focused on equipping coaches with practical knowledge on the menstrual cycle, its impact on training and performance, and ways to create a supportive and informed sporting environment for female athletes.

Empowering coaches with the right knowledge is a key step towards building athlete-centred, inclusive, and high-performing sports ecosystems.

Over the next few weeks, we're introducing the four teams behind PIVOT Pitch Fest 2026.

Over the past six months, these women athletes have worked alongside mentors, industry experts, and one another to transform lived experiences into ideas with the potential to strengthen the future of sport.

First up, meet Team Akatsuki.

Every great idea begins with a question.

Sometimes, that question comes from an experience so personal that it changes how you see sport forever.

Over the past six months, Team Akatsuki has worked together to explore a challenge that has quietly shaped the journeys of countless athletes. Through research, conversations, mentorship, and collaboration, they've transformed lived experiences into an idea with the potential to create meaningful change within the sports ecosystem.

What challenge have they chosen to solve?

We're not revealing that just yet.

You'll have to wait until PIVOT Pitch Fest 2026, where Team Akatsuki will unveil the venture they've been building over the past six months.

The countdown continues.

Because some of the biggest battles in sport begin after the final whistle.
