GRAMAYAANA – A Journey of Discovery Through Our Village
Every village has stories. Every street has memories. Every temple, tree, lake, and tradition carries a history waiting to be discovered.
Gramayaana is a one-year experiential learning initiative by Swagraam Foundation, in collaboration with PM SHRI Government Higher Primary School, Kadashettihalli, Gubbi Taluk, designed to help students from Classes 1 to 8 reconnect with their roots while building essential life skills.
Through storytelling, communication activities, creative writing, village walks, heritage exploration, interactions with local elders, photography, videography, and documentary making, students will learn to observe, question, document, and narrate the stories of their own land.
This is more than a school project.
It is a journey where children become:
Storytellers
Communicators
Young Researchers
Heritage Ambassadors
Documentary Creators
Confident Speakers
Responsible Citizens
At Swagraam Foundation, we believe that every child should know the story of their village before they learn the story of the world.
When children understand where they come from, they develop pride, responsibility, creativity, and a deeper connection with their community.
Gramayaana is our step towards preserving local heritage, strengthening communication skills, and inspiring the next generation to celebrate and document India's rich village culture.
Because every village has a story... and every child deserves to tell it.
