The shores of Chandipur came alive with purpose and passion as a Beach Rally and Clean-Up Drive was conducted under the Marine Animal Conservation and Awareness Program 2026. Organized by the Office of the Divisional Forest Officer, Balasore Wildlife Division, this meaningful initiative brought together individuals committed to protecting our marine ecosystem.

From raising awareness to actively cleaning the coastline, every step taken reflected a shared responsibility towards preserving the beauty and biodiversity of our oceans. These sessions helped students and teachers understand emergency response, preparedness, and safety measures during disasters. Under Project SURAKHYA, a series of street plays were conducted in Mayurbhanj operational areas in local language to raise awareness on child rights and protection. The performances highlighted critical issues such as child marriage, child abuse, unsafe migration and child labour, encouraging communities to recognize these challenges and take collective responsibility for protecting children.

These engaging activities helped sensitize community members and promote a safer, more protective environment for every child. 👧👦
