Palli Alok Pathagar "A center of innovation for a better tomorrow " Initially they collected 1000 books from public and further got assistance from the govt.

Palli Alok Pathagar (PAP), Nagaon (B) is established in the year 1959 as a library by a group of likeminded educationist of the village to spread importance of education with a realization that education plays vital role in development, eradication of poverty and social change. Initially PAP concentrated on strengthening education system of the region and making people aware through cultural activities. Looking into need of a catalyst role in rural development and upliftment of marginalized the organization got registered under Society Registration Act in 1979-80 and under FCRA in 1996 to explore external funding. After that many agencies supported PAP and the organization dedicated itself in the issue of Poverty, food security, drought mitigation, distress migration, community health and nutrition, Adolescence health women empowerment, child rights and strengthening formal education within the framework of RTE. Starting from a village the organization expanded its work in different blocks of Balangir, Bargarh & Subarnapur district and now it has been recognized as a leading organization of the district.

A Mega Health Check-up, Blood Donation, and Assistive Equipment Distribution Camp was organized at Swami Vivekananda Shiksha Kendra, Uparbahal, Loisingha Block, Balangir, under the auspices of Dibiri Trust, with support from the Health & Family Welfare Department-Government of Odisha, Palli Alok Pathagar, Vikash Hospital, and ALIMCO.

Honโ€™ble Health & Family Welfare Minister and local MLA Dr. Mukesh Mahaling inaugurated the camp as Chief Guest. Experienced doctors provided health check-ups and medicines, while assistive devices were distributed to more than 100 persons with disabilities. The blood donation drive received an encouraging response, with 73 units of blood collected. Distinguished guests, officials, healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members contributed to making the initiative a meaningful step towards a healthier and more inclusive community.

Sambad โ€œAma Odishaโ€ and Palli Alok Pathagar (PAP) jointly organized a De-Addiction Pledge and Raksha Bandhan Programme to promote a healthy, addiction-free society. The programme was attended by retired teacher Mr. Lalit Mohan Sahu, retired army officer Mr. Sadananda Pashayat, office bearers, and adolescent girls. Participants took a pledge to stay away from addiction and spread awareness about its harmful effects, while the Raksha Bandhan celebration strengthened the message of care, protection, unity, and social responsibility.

A training session on Self Identity under the Life Skills Module was conducted for adolescent girls to help them understand and express their unique identities.

As part of World Breastfeeding Week, Palli Alok Pathagar (PAP) celebrated to raise awareness about the importance of breastfeeding for the health and wellbeing of both mothers and infants. With the active participation of CDPO, ICDS Supervisor, mothers, pregnant women, ASHA workers, Anganwadi Workers, Adolescent Girls and community members and discussion on the benefits of early initiation of breastfeeding, exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, and continued breastfeeding with complementary feeding. The program emphasized that breastfeeding is a baby's first and most complete nutrition, strengthening immunity, supporting healthy growth and development, and fostering a lifelong bond between mother and child. Together, let us support every mother and ensure every child receives the healthiest start in life.
