Key Discussions
1. ART Enrollment and Retention
The ART Centre reviewed the current status of patient enrollment and treatment continuation.
Emphasis was placed on ensuring timely initiation of ART for all eligible HIV-positive clients.
2. Referral and Linkage Services
ICTC counselors shared updates regarding referrals of HIV-positive clients to the ART Centre.
The TI Project Manager highlighted the need for timely tracking and accompaniment of referred clients.
Coordination between ICTC, TI, OST, CSC and Prison services was discussed to ensure seamless linkage to treatment.
3. Defaulter Tracking
Participants reviewed cases of missed appointments and treatment interruptions.
Counselors were advised to strengthen follow-up through telephone calls, home visits, and community outreach where appropriate.
4. OST and Prison Coordination
The OST Counselor shared updates on HIV-positive clients receiving OST services and their ART adherence status.
The Prison Coordinator discussed referral mechanisms and continuity of ART services for inmates and released prisoners.
5. Challenges Identified
Delayed reporting of referrals.
Difficulty in contacting some clients due to migration and change of contact details.
Transportation and accessibility issues affecting regular ART visits.
Decisions Taken
All ICTC counselors will ensure timely referral and follow-up of HIV-positive clients.
The TI and CSC team will support tracking of missed and lost-to-follow-up clients.
OST and Prison units will share referral updates regularly with the ART Centre.
Monthly coordination meetings will be conducted to review progress and address challenges.
Special focus will be given to treatment adherence counseling and retention in care.
Meeting concluded with brief discussion of 95:95:99 Goal and District status after this a vote of thanks by the Chairperson was delivered to all participants.
