A Tribal Village Steps Towards Skills & Opportunity
with Lakshya Foundation × Tata STRIVE
In the remote tribal village of Kamatvadi (Gram Panchyat Patgaon), change did not begin with a promise.
It began with a conversation.
Lakshya Foundation has been working for years to reduce the gap between tribal communities and urban opportunities. One of the strongest bridges in this journey is skill development that leads to real employment.
As part of this vision, Lakshya Foundation partnered with Tata STRIVE to create pathways for tribal youth to access in-demand skills, professional training, and dignified livelihoods. While Tata STRIVE brings industry-relevant training and placement opportunities, Lakshya Foundation commits to standing with the youth and their families through guidance, trust, and logistical support.
In Kamatvadi, instead of asking youth to immediately enroll, the focus was simple —
listen first, explain honestly, and invite them to see what the future could look like.
Parents, youth, teachers, and community members came together in a small village aangan, where fears were acknowledged, journeys were explained, and possibilities were opened — without pressure or compulsion.
This film captures a moment where a village took its first step —
not towards certainty,
but towards skills, exposure, and opportunity.
