Today marks the death anniversary of her husband, Late Milind Arun Joglekar. On this occasion, Mrs. Joglekar has honored his memory by sponsoring a day at Utkarshalay for the children.

She also visited Utkarshalay this morning and treated the children with sweet sheera and batata vada for breakfast.

नमस्कार,

उत्कर्षालय या निवासी प्रकल्पासोबतच आपण विविध उपक्रम राबवत असतो. त्यापैकी खडऱ्यागडपाडा येथे सुरू असलेला "गरजूची शिकवणी" हा एक महत्त्वाचा उपक्रम आहे. या उपक्रमांतर्गत परिसरातील 15 ते 20 गरजू मुलांना निवडून, त्याच भागातील एका स्थानिक स्वयंसेवकाच्या माध्यमातून त्यांना नियमित शिकवणी दिली जाते. यामागचा उद्देश म्हणजे ही मुले शिक्षणाच्या प्रवाहात टिकून राहावीत आणि त्यांचे शिक्षण खंडित होऊ नये.

या उपक्रमात आपली भूमिका समन्वयकाची आहे. एका बाजूने आर्थिक मदत उभी करून ती स्वयंसेवकाला मानधन स्वरूपात दिली जाते, तर दुसऱ्या बाजूला मुलांच्या शिक्षणाची प्रगती वेळोवेळी तपासली जाते. यासाठी स्वतंत्र मेंटर नियुक्त केला आहे, जो संपूर्ण प्रक्रियेवर लक्ष ठेवतो. हा उपक्रम अतिशय शांतपणे सुरू असून समाधान देणारा अनुभव देत आहे.

वैयक्तिक स्तरावर हा उपक्रम आणखी दोन-तीन ठिकाणी सुरू करण्याची इच्छा आहे. आपल्या आजूबाजूला रस्त्यावर, सिग्नलवर, पुलाखाली, बांधकाम ठिकाणी काम करणाऱ्या मजुरांची मुले, ऊसतोड कामगारांची मुले किंवा गावखेड्यात शाळेत न जाणारी मुले जर आपल्या नजरेस येत असतील, तर अशा मुलांना शिक्षणाशी जोडण्यासाठी "गरजूची शिकवणी" हा उपक्रम सुरू करण्यासाठी आपण पुढाकार घ्यावा.

यासाठी लागणारे शैक्षणिक साहित्य आणि स्वयंसेवकाचे मानधन उभे करण्यासाठी आपण नक्की प्रयत्न करू. मात्र सुरुवातीला अशी मुले शोधणे, त्यांना शिक्षणाकडे वळवणे आणि सातत्य टिकवून ठेवणे हे सर्वात महत्त्वाचे आणि आव्हानात्मक काम आहे. त्यासाठी प्रामाणिक इच्छाशक्ती आणि प्रयत्नांची गरज आहे.

ज्यांना हा उपक्रम आपल्या परिसरात सुरू करण्याची इच्छा आहे त्यांनी जरूर संपर्क साधावा.

फेसबुकवरून ओळख झालेली अनेक माणसं आयुष्यात येतात; पण काही माणसं अशी असतात की ती नुसती ओळख राहत नाहीत, तर आयुष्याचा भाग बनून जातात.
अजित तांबे असाच एक माणूस…

उत्कर्षच्या सुरुवातीपासूनचा सदस्य म्हणून अजितने या प्रवासात मनापासून साथ दिली. उत्कर्ष, उत्कर्षालय आणि इथल्या मुलांबद्दल त्याला विशेष जिव्हाळा होता. मुलांवर जीवापाड प्रेम करणारा आणि गरज पडली तर त्यांच्या बाजूने ठामपणे उभा राहणारा तो खांदा होता.

गेल्या तीन-चार वर्षांपासून प्रकृतीच्या अडचणींमुळे त्याचं उत्कर्षालयात येणं-जाणं कमी झालं होतं, पण मन मात्र कायम इथल्या मुलांमध्येच रेंगाळत होतं. मुलांना भेटायची त्याची ओढ कायम जाणवत असे.

उत्कर्ष उभा राहत असताना ज्या काही माणसांनी निस्वार्थपणे साथ दिली, त्यात अजितचं नाव कायम आदराने घेतलं जाईल.

आज तो आपल्या सोबत नसला, तरी उत्कर्षालयातील मुलांबद्दल त्याच्या मनात असलेलं प्रेम आणि त्याची साथ आम्हाला नेहमी आठवत राहील.

#उत्कर्ष_सहल

उत्कर्ष तर्फे नियोजित 17 आणि 18 जानेवारी रोजीची अजिंठा – दौलताबाद – वेरूळ शैक्षणिक सहल काल अत्यंत यशस्वीरीत्या पार पडली.

या सहलीमध्ये चार वेगवेगळ्या आश्रमांमधील एकूण 65 मुलांना सहभागी करून घेण्यात आले होते. दोन दिवसांच्या या अभ्यासपूर्ण प्रवासात मुलांना
अजिंठा लेणी, वेरूळ लेणी, घृष्णेश्वर मंदिर, देवगिरी (दौलताबाद) किल्ला आणि भद्रा मारुती या ऐतिहासिक व धार्मिक स्थळांना भेट देण्याची संधी मिळाली.

या उपक्रमासाठी सहकार्य करणाऱ्या सर्व आश्रम व्यवस्थापनांचे, टीम सदस्यांचे आणि प्रत्यक्ष-अप्रत्यक्ष मदत करणाऱ्या प्रत्येक शुभेच्छुकांचे मनःपूर्वक आभार. मुलांच्या आयुष्यातील हे क्षण आठवणींच्या रूपाने कायम स्मरणात राहतील, हीच या सहलीची खरी कमाई आहे.
