On 28/06/2025, a horticulture program was organized in Choon Budgam at the Panchayat Ghar, but it failed to achieve its purpose due to the non-notification of orchardists. As per the Public Welfare Society of Choon, Budgam, the event was a mere formality, and even the village head was not informed or invited. Hence, the Deputy Commissioner of Budgam is requested to inquire into this matter.

In a stunning revelation, former RAW chief A.S. Dulat, in his latest book The Chief Minister and The Spy, claimed that Farooq Abdullah secretly supported the abrogation of Article 370. This contradicts Abdullah’s strong public opposition, where he called the move a betrayal of Kashmiris. Dulat’s claims have triggered a political storm in Jammu and Kashmir. Farooq Abdullah slammed the allegation, calling it a "cheap stunt" to sell books and appease the BJP. The National Conference dismissed the claim as complete fiction.
