1. Objective
An awareness session on HIV/AIDS, its transmission, prevention, testing, treatment, and stigma and discrimination was conducted among students and teachers to promote accurate knowledge and healthy preventive practices.
2. Session Details
The session was conducted by Marathwada Gramin Vikas Sanstha (MGVS), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, under the Link Worker Scheme (LWS) project, in coordination with DAPCU ,
The session focused on creating awareness about HIV/AIDS and addressing common myths and misconceptions among students and teachers.
3. Key Topics Covered
• Basic information about HIV and AIDS.
• Modes of HIV transmission and non-transmission.
• HIV prevention and risk-reduction measures.
• Importance of HIV testing and early diagnosis.
• Treatment and care available for people living with HIV.
• Myths and misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS.
• Stigma and discrimination associated with HIV.
• Importance of a supportive and stigma-free environment for people living with HIV.
• Role of students and teachers in sharing correct HIV/AIDS information.
4. Participation
A total of 80 students and teachers actively participated in the awareness programme. The participants showed keen interest and actively engaged in the interactive discussion and question-and-answer session.
5. Methodology
The session was conducted through an interactive awareness presentation, discussion, question-and-answer session, and clarification of myths and misconceptions related to HIV/AIDS.

URGENT VACANCY

Marathwada Gramin Vikas Sanstha (MGVS)

Position: Project Coordinator (Technical)

Salary: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000/- per month (Based on Experience)
Location: 15 Villages, Ghansawangi Block, District Jalna, Maharashtra

Educational Qualification
B.Tech. (Civil Engineering) / Diploma in Civil Engineering / B.Tech. (Agricultural Engineering)

Candidates with relevant technical qualifications and experience in water resource management will be preferred.

Experience
-Minimum 3 years of experience in Water Conservation, Watershed Development, Integrated Water Resource Management (IWRM), Rural Water Supply, or Natural Resource Management Projects.
-Experience of working with NGOs/Government projects will be an added advantage.

Key Roles & Responsibilities
-Coordinate and supervise implementation of water conservation and watershed activities across 15 project villages.
-Prepare technical estimates, measurements (MB), site supervision, quality monitoring, and documentation.
-Conduct field surveys, layout marking, and monitoring of civil works.
-Coordinate with Gram Panchayats, Village Development Committees (VDCs), Water User Groups (WUGs), and Government Departments.
-Ensure timely implementation of project activities as per approved work plan.
-Prepare weekly, monthly, and progress reports with photographs and technical documentation.
-Support project planning, budgeting, monitoring, and evaluation activities.
-Ensure quality control, timely completion of activities, and compliance with project guidelines.
-Willingness to travel extensively and work in rural villages.

Required Skills
-Strong knowledge of Water Conservation and Watershed Structures.
-Experience in Estimation, Surveying, Leveling, MB Preparation, and Site Monitoring.
-Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and report writing.
-Good communication skills in Marathi, Hindi, and English.
-Ability to coordinate with government officials and community institutions.
-Valid two-wheeler driving license will be preferred.

Preference
-Candidates from Jalna, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad), Beed, and nearby districts will be given preference.
