CMIA Soft Skills Training Initiative — Session 1
CMIA successfully launched its Soft Skills Training Initiative under an MoU with MIT CSN, Chh. Sambhajinagar. The first session, "Strategic Communication & Influence," was held on April 16th.

Hon. Secretary, Mihir Soundalgekar felicitated the faculty members and briefed participants about CMIA's unique initiative aimed at enhancing skills across diverse areas to support industry members in their day-to-day professional and personal interactions.

The session was conducted by Prof. Sachin Lomte (HOD, Management Science, MIT), covering key topics including Ethical Persuasion & Storytelling, Cognitive Bias-Aware Communication, Cross-Cultural Communication, and Crisis Communication & Data Storytelling. Over 40 participants attended the highly interactive session, receiving practical, real-world insights.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Sec. Gen. Ravindra, who encouraged registrations for upcoming sessions.

CMIA President, Utsav Machhar was invited as a panellist at the Military–Civil Fusion Conclave — CSN 2026, organised by Gadiya Group with CMIA as an Associate Partner, held in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar on April 13–14, 2026.

During the panel discussion on “Capability Building and Future of Warfare – Defence, Industrial Corridors and MSME Integration,” he highlighted CMIA’s efforts that helped facilitate TKM’s investment in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, strengthening the region’s industrial growth.

In his closing remarks, Lt. Gen. Vineet Gaur emphasized opportunities in the auto sector, especially in mechatronics and software, and stressed skill development to move from “Make in India” to “Made in India.”

The conclave aimed to build a roadmap for a Defence Manufacturing & Innovation Corridor in Marathwada, supporting the vision of Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat. The event saw active industry participation and showcased innovations from 20–25 companies.

CMIA OB Team had the privilege of felicitating AITG Chairman & Past President, Hon’ble Shri Ram Bhogale Sir, on being conferred with an Honorary Doctor of Philosophy degree by the Hon’ble Chancellor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University, Sikar, Rajasthan.

It was a truly enriching ceremony where every attendee had the opportunity for one-on-one interaction with Ram Sir, seeking his guidance on various aspects of life—family, business management, and social responsibility. CMIA met BPCL officials with ~50 industry representatives to address LNG/LPG supply issues and push for faster connections (target: ~1 week), with BPCL prioritizing industries that complete GSA formalities.

CMIA organized a meeting with BPCL officials to address challenges faced by industries due to limited LNG/LPG availability. Hon. Secretary Mihir Soundalgekar highlighted key concerns, while BPCL assured efforts to expedite LNG supply.

Vice President Atharveshraj Nandawat requested faster connection timelines, aiming for completion within a week.
BPCL clarified that supply to existing customers is regular and industries completing Gas Supply Agreement (GSA) formalities will be prioritized. Around 10 industries signed the GSA during the meeting, and meter availability issues are expected to be resolved soon.

Industries were advised to register demand, complete GSA procedures, and finish internal pipeline work to avoid delays.
CMIA President Utsav Machhar assured continued support. Around 50 industry representatives attended the meeting.

The meeting was attended by CMIA President Utsav Machhar, Vice President Atharveshraj Nandawat, Hon. Secretary Mihir Soundalgekar, Treasurer Saurabh Chhallani, and BPCL officials Rajeev Kumar (CGM Marketing), Milind Labhane (Head Gas West), Manoj Kumar Jadhaw (Territory Manager), Anupam Srivastava (Sr. Manager Marketing), Puneet Gupta (Sales Officer), and Sachin Salunkhe (Manager Engineering). Around 50 industry representatives also participated in the meeting.

CMIA has been continuously representing the issues faced by industries, particularly regarding the LPG shortage and other challenges affecting industrial operations.

In continuation of these efforts, a meeting was called yesterday at Rama Hotel with various industrial bodies and industries to discuss the LPG issue and other industry-related matters by Hon’ble Industry Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Uday Samant ji.

We thank all industries and stakeholders who were present and spoke openly about their challenges. A special thank you to the Jalna Steel Manufacturers’ Association and other industries from Jalna who travelled to attend the meeting.

During a discussion at CMIA office regarding the ongoing gas supply shortage in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Utsav Machhar stated that CMIA has received the newly issued Government Resolution (GR).

He mentioned that the organization will study the GR in detail and will share further updates and clarity with industries soon. The discussion highlighted concerns across manufacturing and hospitality sectors, as several units are currently operating on limited safety stock.
