Geeta Ashram is a registered charitable organization that was formed in 1998 and was founded by a few close devotees of Guruji Shri. Padmanabhanji Krishnadasa. In today's materialistic and scientific age, Guruji’s simple a
nd effective methods of Spiritualism have found wide acceptance. His teachings have changed many lives. He is a true Yogi in all aspects of life. Guruji does not discriminate based on Religion, Caste, or Creed and strives tirelessly to help the needy, and loves everyone selflessly. The following activities are conducted, free of cost, at Geeta Ashram, Pune:
1. Spiritual Discourses
• Spiritual Discourses are delivered by Guruji with the intention of showing us the truth of life and educating us on the importance of Spiritual Knowledge.
• A lecture series on the spiritual principles of Bhagavad Geeta and other spiritual scriptures are conducted at the Ashram. This is done to educate people with life values preached by our holy scriptures, enabling them into imbibing these values and lead a better life.
2. Spiritual Guidance & Astrological Consultation
• Guruji has been helping and guiding many people selflessly in all these years who come to Him with questions on Spiritualism and for Astrological consultation.
3. Creative Yoga and Meditation
• Creative Yoga for your physical and mental well-being.
• Yoga, Pranayama, and Meditation are taught with the objective for people to live a healthy and stress-free life.
4. Celebration of important days
• Select auspicious days are celebrated throughout the year.
• Spiritual discourses and Bhajans are conducted and there is a feeling of divine euphoria experienced by everyone who attends.
• An Annadaanam is arranged and Mahaprasadam prepared by devotees is distributed.
5. Sanskrit Classes
• Guruji founded Gurukul Sanskrit Academy which is a non-political & non-profit organization dedicated to the cause of spreading the Sanskrit language. Sanskrit Classes are conducted for interested aspirants. A new type of teaching technique is used in these classes enabling students to learn Sanskrit in a speedy manner. Sanskrit Classes are conducted free of cost at the academy.
• Sanskrit is the oldest and living language on our planet. Hence in its study and research, we see a wonderful history passing through many millennia. It is the language of the most ancient Indian scriptures belonging to various faiths. Sanskrit is a spiritual language, language of Divinity, language of Gods.
• Guruji introduced the novelty and importance of Sanskrit through his discourses. He explained how the scriptures in the Sanskrit language have hidden and symbolic meanings. All the Sanskrit texts have an internal meaning. This internal meaning is more important than the literal meaning. If one has knowledge of the Sanskrit language, then the symbolic meaning can be found. When the scriptures are understood with symbolic meaning, the truth is known.
6. Bhajan Sessions
