Our aim at Shannon Gabba Charitable Society is to build an affordable hospital in Apra, Punjab. Apra is an under developed rural area with over 30 villages surrounding, the nearest hospital is over 15 miles away which has an impact on the community. We have started the project in October 2021, the land has been donated to the charity by Gurdawar Singh and all trustees have financially paid for the
materials for the foundation to be built. The foundation for the building will be completed in April 2022. A total of £20,000 has been donated by the trustees to begin the process. We are aiming to raise a total of £1.2 million to complete the hospital build and purchase necessary medical equipment. Not only will the hospital provide health care for the sick, we will also be opening a window of opportunity for employment. Once all building work is carried out, we will be employing, equipping and training 40 medical staff to manage the hospital.
