The recent directive issued by the Director of School Education, mandating parents to pay 50% of transport charges despite schools being non-operational, is highly unjust and unacceptable. Parents across the region are in great distress and anger, considering legal action against this arbitrary decision.
It is widely alleged that this order serves the personal interests of the Director, as five prominent private schools owned by his close associates are operating in Kashmir Valley. This biased move places an unfair financial burden on parents while favoring a select group of schools. Such misuse of authority not only questions the credibility of the education department but also demands immediate revocation of the order.
We urge higher authorities to intervene, ensuring that parents are not exploited for the personal gains of a few. Justice must prevail, and such discriminatory policies must not be tolerated.
