NWSB: 15/11/2025 A tragic incident occurred at Nowgam Police Station on November 15, 2025, resulting in the loss of eight courageous lives, including Mohd Shafi Parray (Tailor), Naib Tehsildar Muzaffar Ahmad, Inspector Peer Asrar-ul-Haq, Aijaz Afzal Mir (SgCt), Arshid Ahmad Shah of the Photo Section, Crime Branch, Mubashir Mansoor, cameraman with the J&K Crime Branch, and Suhail (Lumberdar). I personally mourn the loss of my friend Asrar and dedicated colleague NT Muzaffar Sahib. The nation will always remember their selfless service and sacrifice. May they rest in peace. In this hour of grief, the nation stands with their families.
