😃 A new academic year begins at ASV!

🧑‍🧑‍🧒 A parents’ meeting for the girls’ hockey, girls’ football and boys’ residential teams was conducted as we reopened the residential programme for the 2026-27 season.

🙌🏻 The meeting provided a detailed overview of the upcoming academic year, including the responsibilities of both parents and athletes, an introduction to the ASA team, a focus on health and well-being, and participation opportunities, helping parents better understand how their children will be supported throughout the year.

💪🏻✨ This year, 76 student-athletes are enrolled in the residential programme at ASV, receiving full scholarships that support their holistic development through education, sports training, medical care, accommodation, exposure tournaments and proper nutrition.

😃 More Than Just Sports!

✨ Our summer camps at Anantapur Sports Village went beyond the fields, creating spaces where children could learn life skills.

🙌🏻 The young girls and boys participated in sessions on life skills, waste management, road safety, menstrual health, child safety & protection, helping them to grow not just as athletes, but as aware, responsible, and confident individuals.

🌞 More than 3,600 girls and boys attended summer camps at 56 RDT-ASA centres in Anantapur and Sri Sathya Sai districts, participating in 10 sports.

🤗 Making the holidays colourful, these summer camps offered them a platform to celebrate with friends, play games, learn new skills, and grow together.

😃 ASA hosted the fellows from the Dani Sports Foundation Fellowship Programme!

🙌 We were delighted to welcome seven fellows from the Dani Sports Foundation’s Sports for Transformation Fellowship - Cohort 3 during their exposure visit to ASA from 25-29 April 2026.

✨ The fellows visited ASA’s grassroots centres in Anantapur, NETS, Bathalapalli & Dharmavaram development centres, and the RDT - Rural Development Trust, Anantapur & ASV campuses, engaging closely with the ASA team.

🤝 The visit offered a deeper understanding of RDT-ASA’s Sport for Development ecosystem - its operations, grassroots-to-elite pathway, and the inclusive approach ASA adopts to drive meaningful social change through sport.

⚽ World Football Giving Day!

💫 at ASA brought together our athletes, parents, communities, and senior players in a celebration of football beyond the game, through activities, matches, and awareness.

💪 A total of 1,215 boys and girls, along with 365 parents and community members across 19 clubs, participated in the celebrations from 22nd to 26th May.

❤️ This day reminds us of the power of football, not just as a sport, but as a tool to give back, build connections, and strengthen communities.

👉 Let’s continue to create a supportive and inclusive environment where every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive through sport.
