Khalsa: Akal Purakh Ki Fauj Bhai Daya Singh ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ:Guru Gobind Singh is the "Father" of the Khalsa and Mata Sahib Kaur is the "Mother"The meaning of Khalsa translates to "Sovereign/Free".

ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ:It is the collective body of Singhs and Kaurs represented by the five beloved-ones: Bhai Sahib Singh, Bhai Dharam Singh, Bhai Himmat Singh, Bhai Mohkam Singh. Another interpretation is that of being 'Pure'.The Khalsa was inaugurated on March 30, 1699, by Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Sikh Guru.
