Celebrating the Spirit of Womanhood

ICAI–Amritsar Branch (NIRC), proudly celebrated International Women’s Day on 8th March 2026 at ICAI Bhawan, New Amritsar.

The event brought together members of the profession and distinguished guests to celebrate the theme “Rise, Lead, Transform – Beyond Boundaries.”

The program witnessed enthusiastic participation and meaningful discussions highlighting the growing leadership, achievements, and contributions of women across professions.

We were honoured by the gracious presence of Mrs. Priyanka Sharma (Senior Deputy Mayor, Amritsar), Mrs. Undleeb Roy Aujla (Renowned Social Worker), and Dr. Navreet Kaur Sekhon (Assistant Commissioner, State Tax – GST) as Guests of Honour.

The program also featured insightful sessions and engaging interactions by eminent speakers, including CA Aanchal Kapoor, Mrs. Shikha Sareen, CA Gurveen Narang, and Dr. Nivedita Mahajan, making the event both enriching and inspiring for all attendees.

With vibrant participation, engaging activities, and networking, the celebration reflected the professional community's collective commitment to empowering women, promoting leadership, and fostering inclusive growth.

Respected seniors, fellow members, colleagues, and dear friends,

Good evening to all of you.

Today, as I stand before you at the conclusion of my tenure as the Chairman of the ICAI Amritsar Branch, I feel a mix of emotions—gratitude, pride, and a deep sense of fulfillment. It has been an incredible journey, and I am honored to have had the opportunity to serve this esteemed institution and its members over the past year.

First and foremost, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my committee members, office bearers, and all my colleagues who have supported me throughout this journey. Your dedication, hard work, and unwavering commitment have been the backbone of our achievements.

During this tenure, we collectively strived to enhance the professional development of our members through various initiatives, seminars, and training programs. We also worked towards strengthening the bond within our CA fraternity, ensuring that the ICAI Amritsar Branch continues to be a pillar of knowledge, ethics, and excellence.

I am particularly proud of the initiatives we undertook to promote student welfare, technological advancements, and professional networking. These efforts have not only benefited our members but also contributed to the larger vision of ICAI.

No journey is without challenges, and we faced our fair share. However, with teamwork, perseverance, and the spirit of unity, we overcame them and emerged stronger.

I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the ICAI leadership, my mentors, my family, and all those who guided and supported me in this role. Your encouragement has been my driving force.

As I pass on the baton to my successor, I am confident that under their leadership, our branch will continue to grow and achieve new milestones. I assure my continued support in every possible way.

To all my dear colleagues and friends, this is not a goodbye but a transition. The bonds we have built and the experiences we have shared will always remain with me.

As my last act as a chairman sharing with you the glimpses of reallocation of room no 401-402 to ICAI AMRITSAR BRANCH NIRC for which we all are great full to the CCIT Sh Lal Chand ji and PCIT Sh Kawaljeet singh ji .

Thank you once again for your trust, support, and love. It has been an honor to serve, and I look forward to contributing to ICAI in new ways in the future.
