BESCOM Invites Tenders for 500 MW Solar Project ☀️

BESCOM has invited tenders for setting up 500 MW of grid-connected solar projects in Karnataka under Component C of the PM-KUSUM Scheme.

🔹 Total Capacity: 500 MW
🔹 Location: Karnataka
🔹 Project Tenure: 25 Years
🔹 Scheme: PM-KUSUM Component C

This initiative marks another significant step towards expanding India’s renewable energy capacity and accelerating the adoption of solar power. 🌱☀️

☀️ India's Rooftop Solar Journey Reaches a New Milestone!

Under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, India has crossed 16,300 daily rooftop solar installations, with the scheme benefiting over 50 lakh households.

This achievement highlights India's rapid progress towards clean, affordable, and sustainable energy. With a target of 1 crore households by March 2027, the future of rooftop solar looks brighter than ever.

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has added 6 new solar PV module manufacturers to the Approved List of Models & Manufacturers (ALMM).

This update is a significant step towards:
✅ Strengthening India's domestic solar manufacturing
✅ Enhancing the availability of ALMM-compliant solar modules
✅ Supporting the Make in India initiative
✅ Accelerating India's clean energy transition
