A brief history

Vishav Yudh Pehla and Duja Shaheed Welfare Society was founded on 18 November 2017 in the village of Sultanwind in Amritsar.

​The organization strives to inform and educate the people of Punjab regarding the rich history of their forefathers who left their homeland to fight and lay down their lives for mankind in the First and Second World War.

​Moreover, the village of Sultanwi

nd is proud and honored since 2017 to host an annual commemorative ceremony on the founding date to pay homage to the soldiers who laid down their lives. This event takes place at the plaque which was installed after the wars, it shows that 135 soldiers of this village went to war of which 8 attained martyrdom.
