A 13-year-old girl in Jalandhar was tragically found murdered in her neighbour’s house after she went missing. CCTV footage showed her entering the accused’s home, and later her body was discovered in the bathroom with signs of strangulation. The main accused is a 48-year-old man, the father of her friend, and the case includes charges under the POCSO Act due to suspicion of sexual assault. The incident caused public outrage, especially because police initially searched the house but failed to find the girl, leading to the suspension of an ASI for negligence.
