The 6th Ambala Literary Conclave was successfully organized by the Professor Vir Sen Vinay Malhotra Trust under the aegis of the Haryana Sahitya and Sanskriti Akademi at the Seminar Hall of Sanatan Dharma College, Ambala Cantt. The event brought together writers, critics and literary enthusiasts from Haryana and neighboring states.
The conclave was inaugurated by Dr. Vinesh Kumar, HCS, SDM, Ambala Cantt, who praised the Trust for promoting literary culture in an era dominated by the internet, mobile technology and artificial intelligence. He described such platforms as meaningful and timely for encouraging writers and preserving the relevance of literature. On the occasion, Dr. Vinesh Kumar also released two new books—“Bahuvarnii–Poetry Collection,” the 31st literary work by Dr. Vinay Kumar Malhotra, and “Gullar ke Phool,” a collection of Haryanvi ghazals by Karamchand Kesar of Kaithal.
Earlier, Senior Advocate K. L. Sehgal, Vice President of the Trust, formally welcomed the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. Dr. Vinay Malhotra, President of the Trust, highlighted its ongoing literary and cultural initiatives, while Treasurer Dr. Neena Malhotra introduced the Chief Guest. Trustee and bibliophile Deepak Jain also shared constructive suggestions for the improvement of the Central Government Library at the Mini Secretariat, Ambala Cantt.
The day-long conclave was conducted in four sessions and featured newly published books of 35 authors from the region. Fifteen book reviewers and trustees also participated actively. The books represented diverse genres, including poetry, fiction, travel writing, memoirs, autobiographies, Haryanvi ghazals, Indian political thought, diplomacy and historical works on the 1857 uprising. Publications were in Hindi, Punjabi and English. A book- "Love Life and Us" authored by Sonia Vashisht Oberoi from Jakarta, Indonesia was also reviewed by Dr Bhrati Bandhu.
The felicitation ceremony was presided over by Dr. Deshbandhu, former Principal and President of the Sanatan Dharma Pratinidhi Sabha, who honored all authors with mementos. Renowned litterateur Dr. Ratan Singh Dhillon emphasized the importance of critical book reviews in literary evaluation. Sessions were chaired by K. L. Sehgal, Dr. Ashok Bhatia and Om Banmali.

Today Children's Day was celebrated at Central School No.4 where the VVM Trust sponsored community lunch for the 400 students of primary section by donating ₹10,000/-. The amount consisted of donations from the Trust ₹5000, Mr Ajay Gupta ₹2500, Mr KL Sehgal ₹1000, Mr Charanjit Singh Sethi ₹1000 & Mr Jai Kumar ₹500. Thanks to all these Trustees for contributing.
