Capre Foundation is a self funded NGO based in Allahabad busy reviving vanishing art forms and creating green livelihoods for underprivileged people in rural areas specially the denotified tribes It was founded by grass roots people including tribals with a social conscience to work for Environmental, socio-economic, cultural and educational upliftment of marginalized/underprivileged people. oundation has been actively involved in social concerns such as environment, sustainable livelihood, health and non formal education and is working on development programmes in Allahabad District in
Kaurihar, Baba ka Pura, Bharhi ka Pura, Ulda, Bichiya, Sindhoriya Pur, Nawabganj and Fathepur Ghat Village

Capre Foundation has been working with ORAON tribes since 1990 in the SILIGURI and DOOARS area of West Bengal They mainly work as tea workers, uprooted from their forest abodes and brought there by the British to work as slaves for tea picking. Some ORAON tribals have settled in Chhatisgarh.
