Option 1 — Strong & Emotional
What happened in our community is deeply disturbing. 💔
A community dog was beaten and an attempt was made to crush him, simply because he was there. When we confronted the person’s family and stood up for the voiceless, instead of addressing the cruelty, we were subjected to abuse, misbehaviour and threats ourselves.
We approached George Town Thana and lodged a complaint, hoping for a fair resolution. Sadly, instead of addressing the issue of animal cruelty and the threats we faced, the situation felt as though the complainant was being given more importance than the actual matter.
We want to make one thing absolutely clear:
Standing up for community animals is not a crime. Feeding them, protecting them and speaking against cruelty does not give anyone the right to threaten, abuse or intimidate us.
This is a final warning: stop these threatening and abusive acts. If they continue, we will have no choice but to seek appropriate legal remedy and approach the court.
We will not remain silent when an innocent animal is being harmed.
Their lives matter. Their safety matters. And we will continue to speak for them. 🐾
