Looking back at the people who made it all what it was, some caught in frames, many missed in the rush, but all an inseparable part of the story.

The University Debating and Literary Club, in all its chaos, craft, and moments in between.

Oh, let the curtains fall back!

What unfolded here was never meant to be contained within days, or stages, or fleeting applause. AMU LitFest is not merely an event; it is a glowing force, something that captures a moment and refuses to let it remain just that. It moves, it lingers, it becomes.

We do not conclude, we walk towards what’s next, only to gather again, larger, louder, inevitable.

And when the time comes, we won’t return quietly. Until next time.

Some goodbyes are just beginnings in disguise.

The Valedictory Ceremony brought the curtains down, but beyond it stayed a trail of tireless efforts, laughter, ideas, and lifelong memories. The echoes of applause, quiet pride in those tired smiles, and every fleeting moment that became unforgettable will stay within us all. The legacy we hoped to continue wasn’t confined to the stage and schedules, it slipped into conversations, settled into hearts, and turned into a precious glow that we’ll carry long after the lights dimmed.

And when the University Debating and Literary Club tells you ‘until next time’, it comes stitched with promise and humming with anticipation.

“If thinking minds will not dissent, who will? If those who read Iqbal, Majaaz and Faiz will not dissent, who will?”
- Mr. Asad Ashraf

As decades lapse and challenges rise, we at LitFest, do not shy; we discuss, we appraise, we thrive.

As India turns octogenarian and institutions come of age, UDLC hosted a One - on - One Discussion on “India @ 80 - Institutions and What Lies Ahead”, featuring Mr. Asad Ashraf and moderated by Mr. Syed Faheem Ahmad.

The discourse transcended the present, it attempted to revisit the “Tryst with Destiny” we made long years back, an attempt to see what lies for the educational powerhouses, for students, for the country, years afar.

“Encourage people to write more, to speak more, use spaces like UDLC to your utmost benefit. Pick a domain, pick a lane and start working on that specific skill of yours and polish it with full fervour”

Debate, Discourse and Discussion: not merely the title of a panel, but a return to memories that still linger. The veterans of the University Debating and Literary Club, Mr. Md. Sabeeh Ahmad and Ms. Areeba Dilshad, joined the conversation at AMU LitFest 2026, moderated by Ms. Amna Asim.

The journey continues as we bring discussions to the stage, a reiteration of reflections, of thoughts that spark something bright enough to ignite value in the hearts of those who listen and care.

We make memories as much as we wield words, writing every page with precision and ingenuity.

On Day-3 of the AMU LitFest’26, a profound discussion took place on “Exploring Urdu Fiction” featuring Prof. Tariq Chhatari and Prof. Abu Bakar Abbad in conversation with Dr. Javed Ashraf.

The speakers deliberated on the increasing decline in the reading culture of India, especially with regards to Urdu. Remarks were also exchanged about the quality of the contemporary Urdu literature, “where there is space, something new will come.”

The discussion proved to be an insightful one, highlighting the value of literature and neglected languages.
