The JNMCH Nursing Fraternity at Aligarh Muslim University celebrated International Nurses Day with a commemorative function at the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College auditorium. Prof. Mohd Wasim Ali, the AMU Proctor, graced the event as the chief guest, acknowledging the indispensable role nurses play in hospital management.
Prof. Veena Maheshwari, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Principal of J.N. Medical College, lauded the nurses for their crucial contributions to patient care. Prof. Rafiuddin, Dean of Students Welfare, and Prof. Haris Manzoor Khan, former Medical Superintendent, expressed appreciation for nurses' selfless dedication.
Prof. Farha Azmi, Principal of the College of Nursing, highlighted the evolving nature of the nursing profession, emphasizing the importance of embracing innovation and technological advancements in patient management.
Prof. Waseem Rizvi, Medical Superintendent of JNMCH, also shared insights during the occasion. Guests of honor, including Mrs. Shahana Parveen, Mrs. Hooma Ruhi, Mrs. Meena Devi, Mrs. Radha Rani Verma, and Mrs. Shahjahan, were warmly welcomed.
The event featured a vibrant cultural program presented by nurses and nursing students, showcasing talents through singing and poetry recitations. Additionally, winners of various competitive events, including Mirza Shajad Baig, Incharge of MICU, were felicitated with prizes, recognizing their outstanding contributions.
