FLAT commits to–

• Facilitate young people in establishing their values, principles, standards and strengthen their individual knowledge and attitude.
• Promote among young people and winning young people back to culture and tradition by promoting the values that has been laid down by our fore fathers.
• Promote and strengthen leadership and entrepreneurship among young people in Mizoram. Vision:

(a) Institutional Programs
- Personal Safety Education Program (PSEP) for children in schools and other settings to help them protect against abuse.
- Life Skills Education in Institutions - in schools, colleges, and churches and in children's homes. shelter homes. (b) Youth Space - Ka thiante In (My Friend's Place): a hangout zone with a laid back cafe, library, listening room, board games, facilities for discussion and interactive sessions for youth to get in touch with themselves, be guided, and to connect with their environment. It's a space free of fear of being judged or discriminated against. And most importantly it is a RESOURCE CENTRE for young people. Programs like - Weave your dreams, Messed Up Night. Talk it out Cafe, Learn to Live are conducted here on a regular basis.
- Talk it Out Cafe is a safe and creative space for collaborative dialogue and open sharing of dreams, knowledge and ideas and issues over cups of coffee, tea and snacks. Participants (youth and adults) reflect, listen, share, speak,draw, scribble or doodle their heart out on guided questions or topics given to their table related to dreams and aspirations and issues highlighting the scenario of youth in Mizoram.
