In 1994,twelve anesthesiologists in Ahmednagar city formed an informal group.Thus started AAA i.e.Ahmednagar Anesthtists Association! Officially it was incepted on 1st of March 1995.Such was the enthusiasm that they had opportunity to hold state level anesthesia confference i.e.Misacon in 1996.The warriors were Drs.Ashok Bora,Mrs.Gulati,Karkamkar,Mone,Sonar,Pande,Sawarikar,Kalwani,Ghaisas,Tuvar,Ku
lkarni Shirish & Kulkarni Sangita. In 2010,the association got affiliated to Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists.(ISA).It became ISA Ahmednagar City branch.In 2011.it received Pancard.Also got MMC accreditation same year. In March 2012,city branch hosted a National CME successfully.A public awareness drive was done on the occasion.It carried on monthly clinical meetings consistently.Had a family get together also.More n more members went on joining to make the strength of 60 now. In the wake of public awareness about anesthesia and the anesthesiologists,it is conducting BLS demonstrations routinely under the Jeevansanjeevani program. In 2017,complying the changing norms,the branch is reincarnated as Ahmednagar Society of Anaesthesiologists.Lastly it has got honour to hold 20th Maharashtra state confference,ISACON2018 as well as 14th West zone ISA confference,WISACON2018 at Shirdi.
