એક તરફ બેફામ રોગચાળો, બીજી બાજુ રેસિડેન્ટ ડોક્ટરોની હડતાળ. સ્ટાઈપેન્ડના મુદ્દે આજે રેસિડેન્ટ અને ઇન્ટર્ન ડોક્ટર્સ હડતાળ પર ઉતર્યા. અમદાવાદ સિવિલ હોસ્પિટલમાં બી.જે. મેડિકલ કેમ્પસમાં રેસિડેન્ટ, ઇન્ટર્ન ડોક્ટર્સ હડતાળ પર ઉતર્યા. ડોક્ટરો ઈમરજન્સી સહિતની તમામ સેવાઓથી પણ અળગા રહ્યા. 1 લાખથી વધુની રકમનું સ્ટાઈપેન્ડ લાંબા સમયથી રેસિડેન્ટ ડોક્ટરોને આપવામાં આવે છે. તેમાં પણ સરકારે 20 ટકાનો વધારો કરીને 1.30 લાખ સુધીનું કર્યું છે. સ્ટાઈપેન્ડ દર 3 વર્ષે વધારવાનો નિર્ણય કરવા માગણી
