Meet Shanti - a gentle female dog from Vandemataram Road, Gota. 🐾🤍
In just 15 days, this little soul went through more pain than most of us can imagine…
A car’s tyre ran over her, she got caught in a dog fight, and suffered an injured joint.
But Shanti is truly special - a rare blend of Shanti (peace) and Shakti (strength). ✨
She is Shanti because she is unbelievably calm, loving and adorable.
And she is Shakti because she fought bravely - against pain… and even other dogs. 🐕😅
We received a call around 10:30 PM.
Our team member Dhrumi from Aarambh had already been keeping a close eye on her, making sure she was fed regularly and cared for.
Without wasting time trying to coordinate multiple people or shift her from one place to another, we decided to take her directly to Jivdaya for treatment. 🚑
(A small note: Dogs must be returned to the same place they belong to, as they are very territorial animals.)
By the time everything was done and we finally reached home… it was 1:00 AM.
Update for everyone who cares about Shanti:
Her body has formed a false but permanent joint, and she is currently on medication and regular feeding.
And honestly… the love she is receiving is beautiful to witness. 🥹❤️
At least 4–5 kind humans are constantly monitoring her and making sure she is fed and looked after every day.
From pain… to protection… from struggle… to so much love.
