Established by the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP), it aims to raise awareness about the vital contributions of pharmacists to patient safety, medication management, and health promotion.   
  
The theme for World Pharmacist Day 2024 is “Pharmacist Meeting Global Needs”. This day is a reminder of how pharmacists not only dispense medications but also serve as trusted healthcare advisors, helping patients navigate their health journeys.

Thalassemia is a hereditary blood disorder that affects the production of haemoglobin, and early detection through such camps helps in managing the condition better. The camp is organised for testing and to help create awareness among students.⁣
