True ecological resilience is forged through relentless grassroots action and a steadfast commitment to environmental stewardship.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, our systemic interventions in water conservation and ecological restoration have consistently aimed to build sustainable, climate-resilient communities. We are deeply humbled and immensely proud to share that these extensive on-ground efforts have been highly appreciated by the Government of Gujarat. In a momentous recognition of our collective impact, our Founder, Shri Dinesh Kumar Gautam, was honoured with a prestigious 'Samman Patra' on the auspicious occasion of Independence Day.

Such esteemed recognition is far more than a badge of honor; it is a profound motivation that fuels our dedication to work even harder for the betterment of society. This milestone validates the tireless efforts of our field teams and community partners who work on the frontlines of environmental preservation, reinforcing our belief that localized, community-driven water management is essential for driving long-term systemic change.

Furthermore, this acknowledgment highlights the measurable impact and transparency of our grassroots initiatives, establishing Drishti Foundation Trust as a highly reliable partner for executing Corporate Environmental Responsibility (CER) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) compliances. We invite corporate leaders and stakeholders to join hands with us as we continue to scale our sustainable interventions across India.

tepwells are far more than magnificent historical monuments; they are highly sophisticated, time-tested water conservation technologies that remain incredibly relevant today.

As India faces escalating water scarcity and shifting climate patterns, these ancient structures offer sustainable, decentralized solutions for groundwater recharge and rainwater harvesting. At Drishti Foundation Trust, a core pillar of our environmental mandate is the nationwide restoration of these traditional ecological assets, bridging the gap between historical wisdom and modern water security.

A testament to this mission is our landmark restoration project back in 2018. In Bhavnagar, a centuries-old stepwell had been completely buried and forgotten beneath an old, defunct railway station. Recognizing its ecological and heritage value, Drishti Foundation Trust joined hands with Western Railways, the Bhavnagar Railway Division, and dedicated local community organizations.

Through rigorous collaborative effort and ecological planning, we successfully excavated and fully restored this architectural marvel, reviving its potential to serve the local environment once again.

Reviving our ancient water infrastructure requires continuous environmental stewardship and collective civic action.

By restoring stepwells, we preserve our heritage while actively securing our ecological future. Join us in our mission to revive India's traditional water management systems.

True environmental sustainability requires the mobilization of diverse stakeholders united by a shared vision for a Green and Clean India.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, our ecological restoration frameworks rely heavily on strategic partnerships that bridge the gap between civil society and institutional action. Among our most dedicated and inspiring partners are India's Paramilitary Forces. While they tirelessly guard our borders and ensure national security, their profound commitment extends deeply into safeguarding our natural heritage, working passionately for a better environment and healthier ecosystems.

Our long-standing association with the Paramilitary Forces on the ground has been instrumental in advancing critical biodiversity conservation efforts. A remarkable testament to this collective synergy is our previous collaboration in Hathijan, where we successfully worked together to develop a thriving, life-sustaining Biodiversity Park. This initiative not only restored native flora and fauna but also established a crucial green lung to combat localized ecological degradation.

Now, as the urgent need for robust climate action intensifies, we are proud to announce that we are once again joining hands with our brave forces for a new, monumental ecological initiative.

Follow this space to know more as we prepare to launch our next major green mission!

Wetlands are among the world’s most productive ecosystems, serving as vital ecological sanctuaries for both native and migratory avian species.

A flock of waterfowl including migratory species like the Bar-headed Goose finds safe refuge on a roosting island. However, a closer look at the background reveals a persistent environmental challenge: dense mats of invasive Water Hyacinth choking the shoreline, threatening aquatic biodiversity and degrading water quality.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, our research-backed ecological restoration frameworks focus on reversing this degradation to safeguard freshwater habitats. Over 15 years of dedicated conservation work, our teams have focused on systematically eradicating invasive flora like Water Hyacinth, restoring natural hydrology, and protecting essential nesting and feeding zones for migratory birds navigating critical flyways across India.

Preserving these wetland sanctuaries requires continuous environmental stewardship and scientific habitat management. Healthy, unchoked water bodies act as crucial climate buffers, carbon sinks, and rich biodiversity hubs.

Reclaiming these ecosystems ensures a balanced natural environment where aquatic life and avian species can thrive side by side. Join hands with us to support our ongoing water body rejuvenation drives and build a sustainable tomorrow.

As we confront modern ecological challenges, sustainable solutions can often be found in the profound wisdom of our ancestors.

There is a fascinating intersection between ancient Indian knowledge and contemporary afforestation techniques. According to the Vriksha Ayurveda Shastras, early environmental stewards utilized Hasthamaana a highly scientific, standardised measurement system to determine the precise and optimal spacing for tree plantations.

This ancient text explicitly outlines that maintaining proper intermediate space between tree rows is critical for cultivating robust "Tree Wealth." By prioritizing distances of twenty standard Hastha units as the optimal rule, these historical guidelines were meticulously designed to maximize vital soil nutrient absorption, ensure adequate sunlight pe*******on, and thoughtfully accommodate the mature size of the plantation relative to a field's shape.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, we actively integrate this time-tested ecological science into our modern tree-planting initiatives. By applying these traditional distance metrics, we guarantee significantly higher sapling survival rates and establish healthier, self-sustaining ecosystems.

True sustainability respects historical environmental science while taking decisive action for the future. Join us in reviving these ancient practices to restore our natural habitats and build a greener tomorrow.

Invasive aquatic flora poses an existential threat to freshwater ecosystems across India. Among these, Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) has emerged as a severe ecological hazard, aggressively choking rivers, lakes, and wetlands.

By blocking sunlight, depleting dissolved oxygen levels, and restricting natural water flow, this prolific w**d decimates local aquatic biodiversity, suffocates marine life, and severely degrades freshwater resources critical for surrounding human and natural communities.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, restoring ecological balance to our precious water bodies has been a core pillar of our mandate. For the past 15 years, our environmental teams and volunteers have been actively working on the ground to eradicate Water Hyacinth infestations and revive dying aquatic habitats. Through systematic removal drives, continuous ecosystem monitoring, and sustainable water management practices, we breathe new life into choked rivers ensuring cleaner, healthier, and biodiverse water systems for future generations.

Reviving our rivers and lakes requires sustained environmental stewardship and collective dedication. Reclaiming these vital aquatic ecosystems is essential for biodiversity preservation and long-term climate resilience across India. Join hands with us as we expand our restoration drives to keep India's water bodies alive and thriving.

On the auspicious occasion of Guru Purnima, we reflect on the timeless wisdom that binds human development with environmental stewardship. In our traditional heritage, learning flourished under the canopy of trees, honoring Nature itself as the ultimate Guru. Nature teaches us fundamental lessons in resilience, balance, circularity, and interconnectedness. Reconnecting with these ancient values and recognizing our mentors as guiding lights is essential to building a sustainable, climate-conscious mindset in a rapidly changing world.

At Drishti Foundation Trust, our sustainability and community frameworks are deeply rooted in this ethos of transformative guidance. We believe that long-term social and environmental change begins with education. By mentoring youth, promoting climate literacy, and equipping vulnerable populations with the knowledge to adapt, we translate the spirit of Guru Purnima into tangible ecological and social action. Guiding a young mind today creates the conscious stewards of tomorrow.

As we honor our gurus educators, community leaders, and the natural world let us commit to living out their teachings through responsible action and empathy. May their wisdom continue to guide us with light, knowledge, and purpose as we work toward a more harmonious planet.

Join hands with us to empower communities through education and environmental action.

As climate-induced disasters grow in frequency and intensity, isolated efforts are no longer enough to protect vulnerable communities. At Drishti Foundation Trust, we firmly believe in the power of collective action. During major crises, seamless synergy between Corporates, NGOs, and Government machineries forms the true backbone of emergency response. From restoring flood-affected lives across Gujarat and Punjab to extending critical relief in Arunachal Pradesh, working hand in hand has consistently been our strongest pathway toward long-term disaster resilience.

Right now, Assam is struggling with severe, widespread floods that have displaced thousands of families, destroyed infrastructure, and inundated entire communities. Our dedicated ground teams are actively deployed in Assam on disaster relief operations, delivering emergency shelter kits, clean drinking water, healthcare assistance, and essential supplies to those in desperate need.

Floods can happen anywhere, but recovery depends on how quickly we stand together. Rebuilding lives in Assam requires immediate, united support from individuals, corporate leaders, and community partners alike. We urge you to step forward and support our front-line operations today.
