OUR INTRODUCTION
We are a registered NGO having the objective of adopting villages and providing total healthcare treatment of all ailments and education for the prevention of sickness by the use of modern technology. OUR WORK IN HEALTHCARE:
• Diagnostic health check-ups and free medicine distribution camp.
• Eye camps with the free distribution of eye drops and spectacles. Facilitating free
cataract operation.
• ENT camps and blood pressure camps. OUR WORK IN EDUCATION: -Through these camps, the villagers are educated about :

• Vulnerable diseases.
• Hygiene and cleanliness.
• Promotion of menstrual hygiene. Distribution of free sanitary napkins and iron

+ Mental health awareness camps: Partnership with Minds Foundation to bring awareness about mental health issues to the villagers and facilitate necessary assistance for treatment. ECONOMIC – LIVELIHOOD
The women in the villages are motivated to learn to stitch, to stitch cotton bags as the sample bags given to them. They are paid for each bag they stitched. This will enable them to have an additional income. OUTCOMES: Medical care at the doorstep has been very beneficial to the senior citizens and the women in the village as they normally do not leave the village. Women awareness program has induced the women to use quality sanitary napkins which many of them were not using earlier. The medicines are given free by Herva Foundation.. The majority of rural deaths, which are preventable, are due to infections and communicable, parasitic and respiratory diseases which can be prevented by creating proper awareness. WOMEN SECTION: This group attends women empowerment activities and women's health awareness projects in the villages. Free cloth is given to the women to make bags and the women are remunerated. Apart from emphasising general as well as personal cleanliness and its benefits, we focus on our awareness programs for the women and the adolescent in the village. By informing them about the strong connection between hygiene and health, and educating them on best practices to adopt using hygiene products like sanitary napkins, we may be able to reduce a lot of hygiene and health-related problems among the women population. We distribute free sanitary napkins to the village women and explain the importance of such napkins. We have a regular I-Breast screening camp in association with Health and Care Foundation, Ahmedabad in various villages, for early detection of Breast Cancer by i-Breast Exam with a portable device and provide an immediate report. The needs of the remote villages are many and the needs can be fulfilled by organisations focusing on social responsibility. OUR INTRODUCTION
We are a registered NGO having an objective of adopting villages and providing for total healthcare treatment of all ailments and education for prevention of sickness by the use of modern technology. HERVA is the short form of Healthcare Education for Rural Village Adopted.
Among the twelve villages in the Mehsana district, we have identified Asjol village, which is the first village, we have adopted in–Mehsana district. Asjol is village in Becharaji taluka and Mehsana district. We have also adopted village Zanzarva in Mandal Taluka and close to Becharaji. The third village we have adopted is Rudatal, a Village in Detroj Rampura Taluka in Ahmadabad District of Gujarat State, India. It is located 74 KM towards west from District head quarters Ahmedabad, 10 KM from Detroj. Last year 2017 June we added two more villages in Virangam Taluka -GHODA & JALAMPURA. Subsequently we have four villages in Kheda district. This year we have Hebatpur in Surendranagar district. Therefore all remote villages around the periphery of Ahmedabad is attended and all villages are in the interior away from the main road and about 85 KMS from Ahmedabad.
We are seeking collaboration with hospital or health-care related institution to provide and maintain the fully equipped medical van and its staff to provide healthcare services to rural villages. We encourage the villagers to take advantage of the services provided through the medical camps. We provide medical diagnostic camps in various villages. The medicines are be given free by Herva Foundation..
The majority of rural deaths, which are preventable, are due to infections and communicable, parasitic and respiratory diseases which can be prevented by creating proper awareness. Apart from emphasising on the general as well as personal cleanliness and its benefits, we focus on our awareness programs to the women and the adolescent in the village. By informing them about the strong connection between hygiene and health, and educate them on best practices to adopt using hygiene products like sanitary napkins, we may be able to reduce a lot of hygiene and health related problems among the women population. We distribute free sanitary napkins to the village women and explaining the importance of such napkins.
Herva Foundation entered into MOU with Minds Foundation of Vadodara for jointly working on mental health awareness programs in our villages. Mental illness is a stigma in our society specially in the villages. Of late depression cases and su***de are on the increase. Lack of knowledge as well as a lack of professionals treatment in the rural areas increases the stigma & death. As a part of our health awareness programs, we create mental health awareness and facilitate proper impact treatment by partnering with Minds Foundation.
We have a WOMEN SECTION. This group attends to the women empowerment activities and women health awareness projects at the villages. GAP -GLOBAL ACTION ON POVERTY an organisation supported by TATA Trust, has selected us for supporting us with the objective of sustainable livelihoods which has direct impact on poverty.
Under the Swachh Bharat Mission launched by our Prime Minister, we had Swchhata abhiyan in four villages 1) Rasikpura 2)Kaloli 3) Radhu 4) Varsang..in Kheda district..with the help of villagers..Sarpanch..Talati. We also distributed free Dustbins,Grooms,Bambo Grooms,Garbage bags to Gram Panchayats ..to keep village clean...We feel happy to contribute, though in a small way, towards the development of our country.
We distributed Shoes & Socks to students of Std 1 to 5 as a pilot program in Ghoda village & Jalampura. With a huge response we received various sponsors, we had similar project in Rudatal village and other villages. As a part of our health education and prevention of illness objectives and to make change in life of villagers, we are planning to implement this program. We find that 80% of school going children in the villages are not in a position to wear shoes or chappal to school. Hence we have decided to give them shoes to students of Std 1 to 5 as a pilot program in Ghoda village.
The needs of the remote villages are many and the needs can be fulfilled by organisations focusing on social responsibility.
We invite you to be a part of any of the activities that we are involved in and which are required by these villagers.
