Karmakonnect in support from SEWA Canada and Shiv Shakti Durga Bhawani Mandir Public Charitable Trust has been operating an ambulance service in Baksa District ( Assam) providing transportation support to both normal and critical patients from surrounding rural and remote areas. Prior to this initiative, no organized emergency ambulance service was available in this region.

The rural poor and underprivileged population have greatly benefitted from this service as they now receive timely and safe transportation to hospitals for proper medical treatment at very nominal charges.

The service has significantly strengthened emergency healthcare access in the locality and has saved numerous lives through prompt medical response.

To empower tribal area and rural families Karmakonnect with SEWA Canada and Lokmangalam Trust has initiated a mango tree plantation initiative, creating long-term income opportunities, and fostering self-reliance in rural communities.

10,000 mango plants Are being distributed to Approximately 500 families across 8 villages across South Gujarat

In a few years - these families can generate a stable and significant annual incomes, uplift rural communities and reducing urban migration pressures.

North India has seen unprecedented flooding over the past few weeks. Settlements and neighbourhoods along the have faced the brunt of the flooding that has left thousands displaced. Livelihoods have been lost.

The situation is grim and it may still get even worse.

Karmakonnect ground volunteers are responding with relief and healthcare measures for the elderly and their communities affected by this natural disaster.
