Can Gujarat Become India's Quantum Capital? The Opportunity is Real. The Ex*****on Must Be Relentless.
The rapid advancements in Quantum Computing and Quantum Technologies are redefining the future of computing, cybersecurity, healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and scientific research.
The recommendations below are the outcome of the thought-provoking Panel Discussion on "Quantum Computing and Quantum Technologies: Preparing Gujarat for the Next Technological Revolution", organised by GESIA IT Association in association with VGRC, Vadodara, on 30th June 2026.
The distinguished panel brought together eminent leaders representing research, industry, academia, semiconductors, cybersecurity, venture ecosystems, and technology entrepreneurship:

The deliberations resulted in five key recommendations to position Gujarat as a global leader in Quantum Technologies:
✅ Implement Targeted Quantum Technology upcoming industry related State and National Government Incentive for Research Funding
✅ Build a Quantum-Ready Talent Pipeline with help of academia aligignment with Quantum National Mission of GoI in four zones of Gujarat
✅ Strengthen Industry–Academia Innovation Clusters across four zones of Gujarat
✅ Develop Indigenous Quantum Supply Chains of Quantum material and create new opportunities for Gujarat's MSMEs.
✅ Promote Quantum Startups by supporting deep-tech startups.
