Food wastage is a global issue. It has been estimated that as much as 30% of all food grown worldwide is lost or wasted before and after it reaches the consumer. Some estimates have placed it as high as 50%. Even in Ahmedabad, Gujarat we see lot of food items and their raw products being wasted. Most of the food waste is avoidable if we manage it better. We are willing to take up the task of manag

ing this! We are, Community Fridge Ahmedabad! An initiative of LTF were we working on hunger management & controlling food wastage. In Community Fridge Ahmedabad individual people or businesses can donate spare food, fruits, vegetables or any other edibles. It yields dual benefits –

Reduces Food Wastage & Feeds the needy, respectfully. The 1st Community Fridge Ahmedabad was installed in October 2019 at Ahmedabad One Mall, Vastrapur area. The 2nd Community Fridge Ahmedabad was installed in February 2020 at Gala Gardenia, South Bopal area. The 3rd Community Fridge Ahmedabad is recently installed at Shivalik Shilp, S.G. All these are open for common people as well as business houses to donate generously. The response as well as participation has been amazing in our humble attempt to channelize extra food to the hungry stomachs.
