Today, VASCSC marked the 107th birth anniversary of our founder, Dr Vikram Sarabhai, by celebrating the very spirit he championed - curiosity, imagination, and the pursuit of scientific possibilities.

VASCSC, in association with Space Applications Centre (SAC), ISRO, organized a Painting Competition as part of National Space Day 2026 and the 50th anniversary of SAC. Around 120 students explored the theme โ€œFrom Charkha to Chandrayaan: Dr. Sarabhaiโ€™s Visionโ€, expressing their understanding of Indiaโ€™s remarkable journey in science and space, through art.

The celebration also included engaging science shows conducted by VASCSC resource persons that added to the excitement of the day.

The winners of the painting competition were felicitated with prizes and certificates, recognising their creativity and enthusiasm.

Dr Sarabhai believed that the true strength of science lies in inspiring people to question, explore, and dream. Today, as we look at the young minds carrying that spirit forward, his vision feels as relevant as ever.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us today and made this celebration so special.

Honouring the visionary who taught us to look beyond the skies.

Today, on the 107th birth anniversary of Dr Vikram Sarabhai, our founder, we remember not just a pioneering scientist, but a dreamer who believed that science could transform lives and shape a better future.

His vision was simple yet powerful - make science accessible, meaningful, and a part of everyday life. That belief continues to guide us at VASCSC, inspiring young minds to ask questions, stay curious, experiment fearlessly, and imagine possibilities beyond what they see today.

As we celebrate his legacy, we remain committed to carrying his legacy forward - bringing science closer to people and nurturing generations that think, question, and create.

His dream continues through ours.

With support from Kostwein India, VASCSC is conducting a series of two-day STEM Hands-on Training Workshops for pre-service teachers across Gujarat.

Sharing glimpses from the workshop held at S.V. Campus, KSV, Kadi, Dist. Mehsana, where 50 enthusiastic participants explored the joy of learning through hands-on activities in science, mathematics, and emerging technologies, building skills and confidence to bring experiential STEM learning into their future classrooms.
