Nazariya- meaning perspective or point of view- was set in motion with the objective of sensitizing youth on the issues that are deep-seeded in the society and to create a space for young people irrespective of caste, gender, religion, faith, class, social and economic background, sexual orientation, literacy status to come together in a common ground to interact, dialogue, debate,learn new skil
ls, enhance perspectives, get opportunities for creative learning and celebrate diverse arts, culture, food and sports. The core philosophy within these spaces is to respect, celebrate and promote diversity and thereby building synergies among youth. Nazariya facilitates creation of a pool of enthusiastic & dedicated youth volunteers from different spheres of life who are trained to use different forms of media to creatively express the issues that affects their lives and the society at large. Apart from the media trainings the volunteers also goes through a series of trainings on developing Leadership & Management skills, Peacebuilding & other issues. Today, Nazariya is gearing up to launch RADIO NAZARIYA, Ahmedabad's first youth- led Community Radio Station. The city's Youth are bringing their voices together to create a space for young people to freely & fearlessly engage with issues affecting their lives. Untill it clears the licence procees, The Radio Nazariya team is narrowcasting in various areas of Ahmedabad. It is bringing out the voices of the unheard!
