Gramshree Trust The Gramshree Trust was established in 1995 by Anarben Patel to encourage the empowerment of underprivileged women through self-reliant activities.

Gramshree's mission is to empower women to be catalysts of change in their families and communities. We achieve this end by ensuring women a steady income and exposing them to confidence-building activities in a nurturing environment. Profits from our products support programs in health, education, personal finance and leadership training.Gramshree works with more than 1000 women between the slum and lower-income areas of Ahmedabad and the rural regions of Patan, Mehsana Kachchh,Bhavnagar and Bharuch. All Gramshree women are home-based workers so that they may earn at their convenience between taking care of their family and home.

Gramshree organised an Eye Camp at our Lilapur Campus with the kind support of Civil Hospital, Asarva, Ahmedabad.

Our artisans and staff members received comprehensive eye check-ups by an experienced eye surgeon, helping ensure that those who bring India’s crafts to life continue to create with clarity, confidence and care. 💛

72 artisans and staff members were examined during the camp.

At Gramshree, we believe that caring for our artisans goes beyond craft, it begins with their well-being. ❤️

Gramshree organised a Health Camp at Ranip, Ahmedabad, with the kind support of Health & Care Foundation, Jivrajpark, Ahmedabad.

The camp provided essential health check-ups for 105 artisans, including Blood Pressure, Diabetes, Haemoglobin (Hb), and Eye check-ups.

Because the hands that preserve our craft heritage deserve to be cared for too.

Threads of Change: From Learners to Creators 🧵✨
Three months ago, 25 women walked into Gramshree’s Ranip Center with a shared dream: to build a better future with their own hands. Today, that dream has found its wings.

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the successful completion of our Advanced Tailoring Training Program! Under the inspiring presence of our beloved Anarben Patel, these resilient women didn't just learn how to stitch; they unlocked a lifetime of independence.

From mastering the art of creating beautiful apparel, intricate accessories, and home furnishings, to participating in health camps, awareness sessions, and joyful movie screenings; this journey was about holistic growth, confidence, and community.

To ensure their momentum never stops, every single participant was gifted an electric stitching machine. Now, their homes will double as their creative studios, allowing them to earn a sustainable livelihood while working alongside Gramshree and Craftroots.

This isn’t just the end of a training program; it is the beginning of 25 powerful stories of self-reliance. Watch out world, these changemakers are ready to stitch their own destinies! 🪡❤️

When women come together, health and empowerment take center stage! The Gramshree Ranip Centre was packed with 48 brave women who prioritized their well-being.

In collaboration with the Indian Red Cross Society, we conducted a vital Breast Health Checking & Awareness Camp. From a warm, traditional welcome to interactive medical sessions, An expert team helped break taboos and teach early detection.

To address anemia proactively, medical counseling and necessary medications were provided to artisans with Hb levels below 9. Thank you to everyone who made this vital initiative possible.
