🌞✨ On this festive occasion, let’s spread joy while also protecting our winged and furry friends. Here’s how you can celebrate responsibly:

1. Use Eco-Friendly Manja: Avoid glass-coated or synthetic kite strings that can injure birds. Opt for biodegradable or cotton threads.

2. Fly Kites in Open Spaces: Choose open grounds away from trees and electric wires to minimize harm to birds.

3. Avoid Peak Bird Activity Times: Fly kites after 11 AM and before 4 PM, as birds are less active during these hours.

4. Rescue and Care for Injured Birds: Keep the contact of local wildlife rescue centers handy and provide first aid to injured birds.

5. Avoid Loud Celebrations: Loud noises can scare animals. Celebrate with music and joy, keeping it calm for nearby pets and stray animals.

6. Clean Up After the Festivities: Dispose of kite strings and other waste properly to prevent accidental injuries to animals.

Let’s make this Makar Sankranti a celebration of life, not just for us but for all living beings.
