On 10 January 2026, Culture and Information Consul Ms. Megumi Shimada attended 'Gold Fest' - Celebrating 50 Years of the Indo-Japan Friendship Association, Gujarat and Five Decades of Gujarat’s Vibrant Bonding with Japan as a Chief Guest!

The event is also the celebration of first anniversary of the Gujarat–Shizuoka and Ahmedabad–Hamamatsu sister state/city partnerships.
