Creating awareness for a healthier tomorrow 🚭
On 13/05/2026, the Udalguri MMU team under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels initiative by Ashray Foundation and SBI Foundation conducted a To***co Awareness Session at Mowamari village as part of the monthly awareness camp in collaboration with the Udalguri District NHM, with the active participation of 33 community members.
The session focused on educating participants about the harmful effects of to***co consumption and its strong association with non-communicable diseases such as cancer, chronic respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular diseases, and other long-term health complications that continue to pose a major public health challenge in the district.
Community members were sensitized about the physical, social, and economic impact of to***co addiction and were encouraged to adopt healthier lifestyle practices while spreading awareness among their families and the wider community. Interactive discussions also highlighted the importance of prevention, early awareness, and behavioural change in reducing to***co dependency.
Through the continued efforts of Ashray Foundation and SBI Foundation, the initiative remains committed to strengthening preventive healthcare and building healthier, informed, and to***co-free communities.
