Over two powerful days, we connected policy to the streets, housing to care, and vision to action. From exposing systemic exclusions to reimagining urban futures, we left with clarity: feminist governance is built in community, not corridors. Thank you to every voice that made the room buzz with possibility. Onward to organizing, designing, and demanding cities that hold us all.

Recently, we had the privilege of hosting Rahul Mehrotra () at CEPT University ()

During this deeply engaging session, he unpacked his practice as a continuous dialogue between research and design—each shaping, questioning, and refining the other. Through reflections, investigations, and propositions, he offered a glimpse into a body of work that is both rigorous and deeply alive.

Our sincere thanks to Rahul Mehrotra for the insightful talk, and to CEPT University for being our venue partner.

🚲 A story of courage, choice & quiet rebellion.

FCA Screenings #3 brings *WADJDA* to the screen — a landmark film that pedals through patriarchy, dreams, and the audacity of a young girl who dares to want more.

Join us for an evening of cinema that challenges norms, celebrates female voices, and reminds us that resistance can be simple, brave, and beautifully human.

The Feminist Collective in Architecture introduces their first Sharing Circle

Practicing Motherhood:
A View from the Ground

Join us for an informal discussion on motherhood and architectural practice, where we invite architects and designers to share their stories on navigating their personal and professional identities as women, mothers, researchers, teachers, practitioners and more.

We welcome everyone interested in sharing their personal journey or listening to these stories, many of which remain unheard in the larger discourse on the profession of architecture.

This event is open to all.

FCA Delhi event took an unexpected turn when the majority of attendees were men. What began as a surprise soon opened space for honest dialogue and reflection. Many shared how their perspectives on gender roles had shifted, influenced by inclusive upbringings and changing norms.

The session highlighted that feminism in architecture isn’t just for women and non-binary people, but a collective effort. The male perspective stood out as participants shared openly, showing vulnerability and breaking rigid gender roles.

The conversations left us hopeful, re-energized, and reminded us that better balance in perspectives leads to better personal and professional practices.

“Who is the City for?” by Sonal Shah (The Urban Catalysts) was an insightful session on how individuals from different socio-economic strata, differing physical abilities and different gender identities move in the city. It tried to identify limits beyond which the city caters disparately to their respective needs, safeties and mobilities. Through discussions, it highlighted the perceptions of various peoples, which also influence their mobility choices and behavioural patterns. Sonal Shah shared insights about how raising awareness and use of technological tools can help people overcome some of the hurdles, especially while using public transport systems. The session ended with the audience actively sharing their own experiences, perceptions and spatial practices in the city.

Thank you, Sonal and thank you to all the participants!
